Just want to send out a note about the new change that Brian added in one of the latest versions of ART. When downloading the csv file from Athletic.net, past versions required that I manually realign columns to match what ART needed to set up the race. But now, I just download the csv file right from A.net and its ready to go.
A.net is free and most of our coaches use the free version to register runners and view results. I have been using Athletic.net to register and report results for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu for over 10 years, and their customer service and ease of use compliments Brian's race software. Our version is the Site Supporter version which is a couple hundred each year but gives us more control over the registration process.
This past weekend, we had about 800 runners in our league meet (6 races) and the system was flawless (after Brian did a short text tech support). We are low budget and all of us are volunteers, so this fits our needs. We are on our second season using the same chips each week bought from ART, and we rarely miss a read. Runners keep their chips all season, and this year I taped two chips to the inside of the bibs which is also a great improvement.
So, a big Mahalo goes out to Brian and all of the contributors to this forum. It has helped me improve little by little!
