I am setting up my first non XC race and am using Runsignup registration and Raceday tools including dynamic bib assignment.
The instructions on the Runsignup side tell me to build the various age groups in Raceday, and as far as I can tell, Runsignup never gets them.  Raceday handles everything after registration.  The ART interface is with Runsignup, not Raceday.  So I can do quick reporting from ART I duplicated my divisions from Raceday, into ART.  Does this sound like the necessary flow?

Also, for anyone using Raceday, which software do you use for a results Kiosk for example?  I think it can be done in both.  At least I am not using RaceJoy for real time at this point but I guess I could use Arrow.

Any advice on your application / feature mix would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Dan,

I use RunSignup and RaceDay Scoring along with Agee. I don’t set up the divisions in Agee anymore except for the top 3 overall male and female in Agee just for awareness. I do the overall and age groups in RaceDay Scoring. The reports will automatically be created for you in RaceDay Scoring.

Results Kiosk, we normally don’t do race kiosk, but I would suggest using RaceDay for kiosk if you’re going to have RaceDay do the scoring. I have moved towards telling race directors to print the results QR codes. You can print a couple and put around your timing area. Whenever anyone asks for their time I point to the QR code. I only print age groups report when they are ready for awards.

Agee is used as my middleware for RaceDay Scoring. I continue to use Agee because it’s great and get’s better. I love that it takes photos with DSLR camera, has the Public Display feature, and makes my team feel comfortable with having a live view of Hindus reads before they are used for scoring in RaceDay without delay. There is a small lag in the reads showing up in RaceDay.

It has turned out to be a great combo for me.
