| The gLOCAL Evaluation Week Call for Proposals is now open!gLOCAL Evaluation Week supports the exchange of M&E knowledge and experiences as a means to promote evaluation capacity development, support evidence-based decision making, and strengthen development outcomes at a local and global level. gLOCAL Evaluation Week is convened by the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) and its partners.
Since gLOCAL was launched in 2019, organizing partners from around the world have hosted nearly 1000 M&E focused events across five continents in multiple languages. Over the past three years, thousands of government officials, evaluation practitioners, academics, researchers, and students, among many others, have attended gLOCAL events to discuss M&E issues, connect with one another to share their knowledge and experiences in this field.
In 2021, nearly 350 virtual events took place, hosted by over 200 institutions in 174 countries. This year, with your support, we hope to make gLOCAL even bigger, reach more people, and be even more impactful.
In 2022, gLOCAL’s special theme is “EvalEvolve: The evolution of M&E in the 21st century”, which will encourage dialogue on how innovations in data collection, analysis, and use are influencing the M&E field. With “EvalEvolve”as the overarching theme, event organizers can consider a number of different aspects of how the field is changing to meet current realities and future needs. In addition to this, organizers are can host events under traditional thematic areas such as Evaluation Capacity Development, Evaluation Communication and Use, and Evaluation Methods. gLOCAL Evaluation Week 2022 will be virtual once again, given the uncertainties around the COVID-19 pandemic.
