Brief Bio of the Presenter
Vicent Ssenyondo is a seasoned Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist, Researcher, and Statistician with extensive experience in evidence generation, data analysis, and evaluation capacity strengthening across Africa. He currently works with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (Uganda) and serves as an Associate Consultant at the Uganda Management Institute (UMI), where he facilitates training in various aspects of M&E.

He has served as General Secretary of the Uganda Evaluation Association (UEA) [2022 – 2025] and currently represents East Africa on the Board of the Africa Evaluation Association (AfrEA). Vicent is also an active member of the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS), the Africa Gender and Development Evaluators Network (AGDEN), and IOCOM where he serves as Uganda’s country representative.

Vicent has designed and facilitated numerous trainings in data management and analysis at national, regional, and international levels—including conferences and workshops in Uganda, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Italy, Switzerland, and Belgium, among others. He has led peer-to-peer capacity-building exchanges between UEA and the Rwanda Monitoring and Evaluation Organization (RMEO), conducted workshops in South Sudan, and was awarded a grant by EvalYouth to train over 100 young evaluators across Africa.

His technical expertise spans a wide range of tools and platforms including Advanced Excel, SPSS, STATA, NVivo, QGIS, Tableau, Power BI, Kobo Toolbox, and SurveyCTO, among others. His passion lies in building the next generation of evaluation professionals across East Africa, the continent, and beyond—advancing a strong, data-informed culture of evaluation.
