Dear All,

The message below is from Marco Segone, Director of the Independent Eval Office of UN Women,  the brain behind the new dynamism around global evaluation practice.

Marco holds great admiration for and recognition of AGDEN and we must reciprocate by raising our voices in this growing global space to retain our significance as intended by the creators of this unique network. We need to do this by sending an AGDEN response to this call to action by Marco. A handful of AGDEN members will be in Nepal and we need to be empowered by you all to represent you adequately and appropriately.

During the last ediscusssion on the global evaluation agenda, our able Interim Secretary, Susan Mathai coordinated a similar exercise and we forwarded our collective thoughts as AGDEN. This time is the same we will collate all the ideas sent and will present them first virtually and in person at the meetings to be held in Kathmandu.

Dear EvalGender+ colleagues,

 

The countdown is on: 10 days to the official launch of EvalGender+ in Nepal! We have all been working a lot for this great event. Thanks to all for your contributions, translations, notes, and dreams!

 

I wanted to update you with a few important items before the launch:

 

1. First, please find attached the Agenda of the Global Forum Event. As you know the Global Forum is a full week of activities including the launch of EvalGender+ and its working session.
2. We have prepared an agenda for the working session on Wednesday 24 November from 9:30 to 1pm. Please find it attached.
3. We are holding on to our Concept Note that was a real collaborative process. We have also prepared a preliminary work planning PPT showcasing some of the planned activities already scheduled. New activities will pop up during the working session, so it will change. Please see attached the concept note and PPT.
4. As you know, we launched the EvalGender+ Dream Consultation (see below additional info). Thanks to all who collaborated in reaching as many people as possible to get all the dreams for EvalGender+. If you haven’t already done so, please share your dream with us through the EvalGender+ platform: http://gendereval.ning.com/forum/topics/what-is-your-dream. You can access the query in Portuguese, French, Spanish, Turkish and Russian. The “dreams” will also contribute to the workplan discussions.
5. And please don’t forget to tweet about the launch! Sample tweets are also attached in the concept note

EvalGender+ Dream

EvalGender+ will be launched at Parliament of Nepal on 25th Nov 2015. We are having a brainstorming meeting in Kathmandu on 24th Nov. Can't attend this meeting but would like to engage in EvalGender+? We need your inputs on the following:

1.     What would EvalGender+ be at its best? What is your dream for EvalGender+? Where do you see it in the year 2025?

2.     Who would be a part of this partnership?

3.     What activities will it be undertaking by 2025?

4.     How would the Evalgender+ be governed?
