Board Elections: Online voting

Dear Member,

A big thank you to those who nominated members for the two Board positions which became vacant this year, as well as to the candidates who have accepted their nomination.
This year you will be casting your ballots online as usual  - a process which is  simple and user-friendly, and also ensures  accuracy and confidentiality.  We encourage you to vote and to have your say in the running of IDEAS.

You will be required to log in as a member (only paid up members may vote)
I know many of you will have forgotten your password – no problem! Just enter your email address as usual, click on “Forgot your Password?”,  and it will be immediately emailed to you. If you still have the old system-allocated password, remember that you may change your password at any time to one you will remember more easily – just login with your email and current password, click on “Update Member Details” and make the changes you require.

Should you have a problem logging in, it will be for one of two reasons: either your details have changed, and you are logging in with an email address different to the one we have on file, or your registration has been de-activated, possibly for non-payment of your subscription. If you have queries regarding the email address we have on file for you, or you are sure you have paid your subscription, please contact me (
jeanh...@telkomsa.net)  immediately, with details.

From the member introductory page, the voting facility will be available from 15th March to midnight on 21st  March, by clicking on the link there.

You will be voting for a maximum of two candidates, one from a developing country and one from a developed country.  Should you only wish to vote for one candidate, that’s no problem at all. However, should you try to vote for three, you will certainly be told you have a problem!
Information relevant to the nominees is available in the Members’ section of the website, under “Election News”. You may also use the quick links below:

We hope you will participate in the election and support your preferred candidates .
Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have queries or problems.
