About us
Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya is a duly registered establishment whose vocation is to demystify cancer to the common mwananchi in an affordable way, developing the Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya pageant as the leading platform primarily in Kenya, secondarily in East Africa and the world at large as a forum of action in dealing with Cancers and related matters,

We are currently recruiting volunteers to work with us at the following levels; 7 at County, 3 at Constituency and 3 at Ward levels al over Kenya to facilitate Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya program at the stated levels, who will be trained in the months to come on cancer management, savings and project planning and management.

At Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya, our core mandate is to promote volunteerism to address global cancer through the Last Person Out-Reach Cancer Campaign; Awareness Creation, Screening, Testing and affordable accessible Treatment for All - Platform. Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya is unique in that we are committed to fighting disadvantage of Cancer in the society through the implementation of quality programs and projects in Kenya and the recruitment of Kenyan, Volunteers who will put the service to all in the 47 Counties of Kenya,

Roles of the volunteer
The volunteer will be attached to a County, Constituency and OR Ward coordinator and is expected to put in a 20 plus man-hours per week in to the program,

While in placement, the volunteers make valuable contribution to the growth and development of local communities and organizations through strategic programs in the Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya program. The trainees are supposed to come up with ideas on how to help the Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya cancer project and how to get more funding towards the same.

They are supposed to do a research, as a group or individually and come up with a comprehensive write-up with 3 months on how to make Last Person Out-Reach Cancer Campaign; Awareness Creation, Screening, Testing and affordable accessible Treatment for All – Platform work at their level.

The establishment will use the write-ups to seek for funding from our partners and future donors.

We will hold orientation and trainings for the shortlisted applicants, where we will let them know what we expect from them. We will also assign each one of them a coordinator. We will take all through the Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya concept/ proposal covering the following areas;
1. Problem statement
2. Justification of the program
3. Aim and Objective(s)
4. Strategy and Activities (events)
5. Expected Outputs and Outcomes
6. Budget

Other fields
We will also equip the trainees in the following areas amongst others as per their careers:
• Human Resource Management.
• Administration and management.
• Mobilization and Mentorship
• Guidance and Counseling
• Events and Organization Management
• Fundraising
• Legal system.

Requirements
• Kenyan citizens with O-Level education and above
• Willingness to teach, assess and mentor young and vulnerable children.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English as a language.
• Must have good numerical and analytical skills for children.
• Be of impeccable integrity and honesty.
• Undergraduate students to indicate their form 4 mean grade on their CV.
• Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Time management skills and attention to detail

REMUNERATIONS’/PAYMENTS
• Miss Pink Ribbon Kenya will pay any successful applicant USD 10 per day, which equals Ksh.900 per day.
• Remember this is not salary but a daily allowance as the program is purely voluntarily

After the successful program duration, you will be considered as a full time member with a permanent or contractual employment status.
