We shall have 2 Key speakers 

Dorcas Muthoni, an entrepreneur and computer scientist, is the CEO and founder of OPENWORLD LTD (www.openworld.co.ke), a software company she started at the age of 24. OPENWORLD is now a leading e-Government and Business Software Services firm in the Eastern Africa region.


Jessie Githanga an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Pathology, University of Nairobi, Kenya and has an adjunct position as Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Infectious Diseases, University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA, and is a Founder member and Fellow of the College of Pathologists of East Central and Southern Africa (FCPath-ECSA).  Her training background is in general pathology and hematology and blood transfusion at the University of Nairobi, Kenya and the Health Sciences Center, University of Manitoba, Canada.  From 2004 to 2011 she served as the Chair of the Department of Human Pathology.  Besides teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level to various healthcare workers, she provides clinical services in hematology (blood disorders) and oncology at the Kenyatta National Hospital, the largest public hospital in Kenya and is the Chief Pathologist at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital, Nairobi.


Women of Excellence brings together women and girls from all platforms (backgrounds and cultural diversity)

We are committed to building a strong support structure for women, by highlighting the challenges that women encounter in their quest for good leadership, health and financial freedom and building a strong support structures for women to overcome these challenges as well as celebrating success of our fellow women making change in our communities.

We focus on:-
1. Women in careers (role modeling programs for women development)
2. Women in business (programs to help women succeed in business)
3. Women greening the world, (women to champion the environmental conservation initiatives)
4. Well woman! (a platform for the women to find a space to connect, achieve healthy lifestyles, combat maternal deaths, HIV, FGM and other stigmas faced by women and build confidence and leadership skills)
5. Dream girls (a teenage girls mentor-ship program, to encourage girls to succeed in their education, and learn life skills in the process).
