Greetings all
First I'd like to thank Steve for this wonderful site I've stumbled upon.
I am in the fibre laying industry and am constantly looking where projects are kicking off and are already in the roll out phase.
I would like to take advantage of this page if alright with Steve.
See we are constantly staying in the bush and remote areas where we lay cables all over the world (Mainly focusing on Africa now) and becomes hard at times to know where the next job would be or where to find prospect jobs.
I would like to use this discussion board to find out where planned projects would be and where projects are running behind schedule.
Let me start by explaining what we do and a little bit about our background.
We are a company called Spiderplow, founded in 1994 by our Managing Director Mr Gunther Sperber from Germany.
Mr Sperber introduced these cable laying ploughs to the world since 1994 and have ever since offered our professional, high quality services to clients at a laying rate no contractor in the world can match.
I have attached some pictures and a company profile of our machines and operations.
To give people an idea, I was working on conventional trenching for many years and on average contractors would be able to achieve between 1000 - 1500m per day with excavators, TLB's and manual labour.
Now when ground conditions allow and all planning is done correct, Spiderplow is achieving 1000m per hour with these machines. This includes the laying of conduit/fibre direct buried, installation of warning tape, closing of plow rip and re-instatement of plough disturbed ground. It is an unbelievable rate and exceptionally high quality standard of laying conduits or fibres. We also offer services laying water lines and power cables.
I would really appreciate to use this opportunity to scout more upcoming projects and/or locating projects that are already on their way.
At the moment we are based in South Africa and Botswana. We are an international company and have several machines located around the world and move our operations anywhere on the globe.
Please contact me or drop me a message on this discussion page should anybody have any interest in these machines or know of or even involved with a project on the go now.
