April29, 2022 This spring, I have been reflecting on how much I have to begrateful for. My health, that of myfamily and friends.
The fact that my business is still surviving. The fact that I still get to do what I lovebest. I get to talk to all of you aboutthe books you are reading, and the ones that I am reading. And we can share our love of literature. Or our favorite authors. Or discuss the challenges some of those writerspresent us with. Many of you have been asking about when we will bere-launching our book buying/trade-in program. First, I thank you for your patience as we figure out a way to bringback this service. I don’t have a firmanswer for you quite yet. I can saythat it will be before the end of this year. More to come on all of thatlater. In the meantime, on to the news… April30th, 2022 This year marks the return of the Indie Bookstore Crawl! A few highlights to know, in case you want to participate:• Visit TEN stores on Independent BookstoreDay and get 10% off at all participatingbookstores for an ENTIRE YEAR!
• Visit FIFTEEN stores on Independent BookstoreDay and get 15% off at all participating bookstores for an ENTIRE YEAR! There's no mandated initial purchase required. In fact, no purchases are required at all.
Just scan the QR code at the first store youvisit and get started. Then, take apicture of yourself at that store’s designated Station. We will not bechecking your phones for evidence of how many stores you’ve visited. Eitherat the last store you visit - or later at home – post the 10 or 15 photos usingthe hashtag given when you scanned the QR code. In the coming days, e-discount cards will be sent to the "winners”. That’s it. Then,enjoy your year of literature at a discounted price.
