Update and Apology:  No game on Thursday.  I'm sorry for the continued delays.

Update:  Additional paperwork and a ridiculously low appraisal (new construction on a quarter acre is worth only $91/s.f.? WTF?) pushed back our closing until Tuesday, and the movers come on Wednesday.  A Thursday game would just be too much for me to dive into, with all the additional drama this week.  Gamewise, I have the ideas and themes in place, but not the details (numbers on cards, etc)

First rule of thumb: Real Life (tm) first, game second. Take care of the house and the family; we'll still be here next week.

Out of curiosity, with the baby coming, do you have a hard stop date in mind?

With Regards,
Flynn

First weekend in May.

That gives us about a month before baby's due date.

$91/sf doesn't sound out of line.  You're in a cheap zone.  My house was slightly under $90/sf before this housing debacle.  And per Zillow:
510 King Eider Ln
Tax Assessment $295,433 $/sqft $82 for 2010
Asking $329,900 $/sqft $91

I wouldn't call the area "cheap".

The string of emails I have shows new construction going for $105-120/s.f. in the area. I can't compare quality on homes I haven't seen, but we have one of the largest lots in the neighborhood, and upgraded fixtures and appliances.

Zillow's often about as accurate as blind man with one arm at an archery competition.

The $295k is off of a tax assessment on new construction, which are often undervalued.

I agree, Zillow and other online assessment tools are well off the mark.
