Curious from the audience of "practicing" Field Service technicians which Android or Apple smartphone they depend on an what is the best feature of it?  Please give the specific manufacturer model number, age (if more than a year old) and version of the O.S.  Please do not give any phone number, service provider or other personally identifiable information.

I am looking to replace my Samsung Galaxy S III and do not want to "overspend" on hardware fluff (features NOT measuring up 'as advertised').  I will supply details on 9 models I am researching/comparing side-by-side.

I use a Galaxy Note 7 as of tomorrow and had a Note 4 that I loved.  Both measured up to their advertised features plus they have better support to use IT tools than Apple.  I routinely use my phone for wireless audits as well as network diagnostics unless a hard wire is needed.  I will say however the Note series is a bit over priced in my opinion but because of various deals and discounts I don't pay the full amount otherwise I might reconsider.

Hi team members,

I would recommend and advise the iPhone is the best, since if you are concern about security and speed with LTE Advanced.

Thanks!

Hey!
I currently am using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with the Gear S2 and its wonderful. The phone is extremely quick; apps load up nice and fast with minimal bugs, every game works perfect, and the camera is fantastic and takes super fast pictures. S7 Edge with Otterbox will not break! The Gear S2 is great for on the go anything, especially if you are using a bluetooth headset. Most technicians I see around here (DC, Maryland, Virginia) are using a bluetooth headset so most would benefit from a smart watch believe it or not! :) Sorry for getting off topic a little bit, but I would strongly recommend the Samsung S7 Edge to any tech out there with an upgrade.
