Hello Everyone, I am a new tech in Minnesota.

I am not sure how you all get computer parts that you need for repairs?  I have access to a bunch of brand name parts for cost prices.  There is a little shipping but most are a lot cheaper then big box stores.

Just thought I would toss it out there if any of you need parts, let me know

Have a great day, I am excited to be a part of the team!

What recently happened to me, the customer forgot the power brick for their monitor (and a bunch of other things weren't right).  In that case I would have looked the monitor up to find a brick (this is very unlikely on eBay or amazon as you can rarely find parts for anything that isn't a computer or a top selling model) or I would have looked at the input voltage and amperage and bought a part that would work.  The key is you want to find generic to save money i.e. buying a cheap graphics card as apposed to the exact one that goes to a desktop (make sure it uses the same bus, and uses the same amount of power).

The scenario would be to view the parts online and get an estimate, then have the customer reschedule another service call to install the new part.  Order the part with 3 day shipping (as if they pay a little more it would be better than waiting a week or two and having angry customer)  Make sure you call the customer for ETA on the shipping.
