This is a full remake of Baldur's Gate made by Bioware into the NWN2 engine. It's an update of the original work that has been posted on the Nexus. Drew is lost in Pandora, he'll update later the Nexus version.

This version brings into Baldur's Gate Reloaded many systems that are used in Shadows of Amn Reloaded (which will be published later). It will allow the two campaign to be linked and also the continuity for the player character if you wish to play one of the new classes.

This version was made in collabaration with Travus who made the unoficial patch for Baldur's Gate. The unofficial patch corrections are all in this version. The conversation style are not SOZ converted. If you wish to play this way you'll need a new patch for it.

3- It includes the SOAR rest system which is actually a full and finished system. It's not the first time that a full rest system is done in NWN or NWN2, this one is pretty much 100% based on the original Baldur's gate and Shadow of Amn rest system, so it's not timed, it's not restricting, it's not punishing but it's complete.

4 - A new craft system has been added, it's the SOAR craft system that has been transposed and "limited" in BGR. This craft system is a mix of NWN2 OC and SOZ crafting system. For advanced crafting you need to acquire recipe and copy them into a book of recipe, which you can open and read. To perform the craft the character performing the craft need the book in his/her inventory.

5 - A full scripted companions lvling system. It's the one from SOAR which has been put in real condition for the first time here. It was quite a challenge. This system allow "limited or unlimited" multiclassing, so it's not working with anything that alter the lvling GUI. You no longer need to speak to a companions to change its classes. The classes they can access are diplayed in the class menue.

6 - One of the goal of the full scripted GUI leveling system is to allow real "dual classing classes" with a double spell selection. Two 3.5 dual casting classes has been added, the mystic theurge beeing one of them.

7 - The end of the mod is set to operate an automatic transition if SOAR is installed, also the companions in your party at the end of BGR are saved with your character; so for those that are back in SOAR, they are remade exactly the way you build them in BGR. (Stats, Feats, Skills, CLasses, XP) They transfert into SOAR as they were at the end of BGR. It's tied to the player character and not to the automatic transitionning.

1: Remove all content from your Override directory in both you install directory and your My Documents Directory (...Program Files/Atari/Neverwinter Nights 2/override AND Libraries/Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/override)

Every bug noticed by dedicated peoples who helped me testing and making this patch and I, have have been corrected. But there are probably more. Still I think that all the "elephants" have been removed.

Everything is possible with NWN2 toolset, but it require a little work. Everything related to party is made for a maximum of 6 party member in BGR. If you want more you have to work on all the script/conversation involved if you want it to be clean.

you must be unbelivably amazing people irl, I was just thinking about to do another run and you show up with this just in time. I was just going through the nexus site and found this out by chance, so happy now, thank you.

I have mixed feelings about this mod. The amount of custom content is very impressive. But I think the game mechanics is somewhat poor. The hostile creatures that spawn can see the PC even if he is invisible. Stealth is useless in this mod.

The difference is, if there is a door at the exit point with the "ForcedExit" fonction the NPC open the door before "removing_itself". For forcedExit to work you need to have the "remove_myslef" script in the module or in the campaign directory.

Great mod! My only problem is that when in BG city the game crashes a few seconds after I load a savegame. Even if resting or skiping time until dawn or night, or even after entering the underground using sewer entries. Happened exactly in the same way before updating the mod with the latest patches.

I have tried many things for the issue of crashing in bBaldur''s Gate city, many "tricks". None worked. We didn't paid attention to it when we made it, beceause we all had powerfull computers, it was noticed only when others (and testers) started to play it

My conclusion to this problem is that the module(BG_H) is too big. None of the trick I tried worked. So now the solution I got for it would be to split that mod into several smaller ones. but it's a lot of work, and for now my focus is into finishing SOAR. It was on the list of what could be done for the 1.4 release, but I didn't do it beceause it was too much work.

One day maybe.... but for now nothing is planned, the focus is on SOAR. Where all the modules of the campaign have been kept to reasonables sizes in order toavoid this problem. but it's not the only problem we spotted and to which we tried to bring in a real solutions.

The BGR 1.4 version was to bring many solutions to many BGR problems by importing into BGR the solutions we implemented into SOAR. It"s clearly a success for a lot of the problems. But this one wasn't addressed in the 1.4 version. If a 1.5 version would be made it's at the top of the list of things to do. But I don't plan to work again on BGR before we have an SOAR release candidate.

So far the only thing to do about it, is to save often, an other solution would be de "clean up" the computer and turn off all "extra process" like anti-virus and stuff like that while in the city in order to be able to exploit more power from your computer. The problem is that there is too much area and creatures in this module.

What it seems like to me is a scripting problem, no NPC will leave an area, Elminister will walk to the exit when you first talk to him, but won't leave, in fact I have seen every single NPC act in this way, even the poor courtesans in Beregost will not leave the area when the morning comes, and the poor women do need their sleep.

Curious about 'Mirror Image', in this remake. Overwhlemingly preferred the BG sfx. No clue as what NWN2 was going for, (simulacrum great , but MI good lower level misdirect). Would be great to go back tot the BG version (easy 2 as simulacrum could be doctored).

The "default" command is "attack nearest", it's where their AI is more advanced. you can try to put more advanced AI script in your override, but as soon as you touch the GUI, you may have troubles or stuff not working.

for the recipe you need to use the recipe and apply in the book and it will be copied in the book. So right click on the recipe, slect activate item, and click on the recipe book while ( the purple spell mouse icon is on"). It will copy the recipe in the recipe book. You ll be able to read the recipe in the book, and perform the craft if you have the required skills/materials.

I identified the stat tomes and still can't use them. When I examine them it does say it has a "usable" property, but no use option appears when I right click on the item and nothing happens if I try to use it by placing it on the hotbar.

Do you get an animation where your hands loses it's flesh and then turns to dust? I'm dying to the poison because I killed Marek and Lothander before the quest even started (when you enter to Baldurs Gate for the first time) but Lothander respawned and started the quest but Marek didn't so I'm stuck lol

Edit 2: I kept testing it and I think I can survive now, just had to load an earlier save, I think in the one I was testing 9 days had passed and was pretty much dead already (while testing sometimes there was a notification that the poison was killing me lol) and that's why it didn't work because now with the earlier save I've traveled around 10 days and rested a few times and nothing happened, I still gotta test it so I'll update it in a few days

Final edit :D I finished the game already (great remake btw it's crazy how accurate and how well made it is, can't wait for BGR 2) and everything worked great, I think the problem was that I was pretty much dead already so even if I got the antidote it woudln't help lol so I reloaded a save of a few hours prior to that, went to the Blushing Mermaid gave myself the antidote with the console and was cured haha
