Chevron Health and Medical is hiring for an Associate Manager, Employee Assistance and WorkLife Services based in either San Ramon, CA or in Houston, TX.  Interested candidates may apply online at:  http://careers.chevron.com/  Look for requisition #030136141

 

The Associate Manager of Employee Assistance and WorkLife Services has full leadership and operational management responsibility for the Employee Assistance and WorkLife services team composed of seven internal consultants, two administrative staff (Chevron employees) and seven EAP contractors who provide EAP assessments, referrals and follow-up for employees and family members. Advisors collaborate internally with Chevron’s Health and Medical staff and with mental health providers to determine levels of care and facilitate referrals to in-network providers, where appropriate.  The advisors regularly respond to and manage complicated cases from international locations. 

Required Qualifications:

·         Must hold a current clinical license in psychology, counseling, or social work. License must be current and up to date.

·         Master’s Degree required.

·         A minimum of five years of employee assistance experience.

·         Experience assessing and treating substance abuse problems.

·         Experience consulting with senior levels of management regarding psychological health concerns impacting the organization.

·         Experience in “incident command” where workplace crisis/trauma response requires decisive, knowledgeable authority.

·         Agility in handling multiple demands through prioritization, careful attention, and listening that result in clear direction and resolution.

·         Strong communication skills and ability to present to a large audience.

·         International travel is occasionally required, so successful candidate must be able to travel outside of the US. Travel is estimated at approximately 15 --20 percent of the job (travel is usually known weeks and months in advance).
