INVITATION TO ATTEND A SENSITIZATION MEETING ON THE SADC PF MODEL LAW ON PUBLIC FINANCE MANAGEMENT

Greetings Colleagues,

In collaboration with the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development, Botswana Watch and with support from Diakonia and the Swedish Embassy, Youth For Tax Justice Network is organizing a sensitization meeting on the SADC PF Model Law on Public Finance Management in Gaborone, Botswana. The meeting aims to:-

1. Sensitize stakeholders on the SADC PF Model Law on Public Finance Management’s provisions and relevance to Botswana.
2. Identify advocacy priorities for domesticating the law, focusing on debt management, IFFs, and youth-inclusive budgeting.
3. Foster collaboration between Government officials, Members of Parliament, journalists, civil society organizations and youth leaders to drive policy reform.  

It is my pleasure to invite you for the said meeting which will take place at Cresta Lodge, in Gaborone, Botswana on 20 June 2025 starting at exactly 8:30am.
