Hi all,

I case you hadn’t seen it, the UNFCCC has opened a consultation on its new climate finance work programme.

This seems a good opportunity to promote the UN Tax Convention as a vehicle to raise additional, debt-free resources for climate finance at no cost to ordinary taxpayers.

E.g. through a surtax on the global-level profits of polluting industries, and through unitary taxation.

Deadline for submission is 27 April, to: climate...@unfccc.int

I’m probably not on all the right listservs, so please share with folks who might be keen to submit & make the case for linking UNFCCC to UNTC 🙏

It would be great for climate negotiators to hear the call for joining dots with the UN Tax Convention from as many voices as possible! 📣

cheers,
Dom

Dear all,

With apologies for another email, here's some suggested wording on the UN Tax Convention for including in submissions to the UNFCCC Work Programme on Climate Finance consultation (deadline 27th April):

Thank you for considering,

best wishes,
Dom
