Hi everyone,

I hope you are all as well as you can be in the current context.

I am excited to share the vacancy for a Tax & Gender Equality Advisor.

ActionAid International is recruiting for this Tax & Gender Equality Advisor role as part of the Tax and Education Alliance (TaxEd Alliance) with key partners from the tax justice, human rights and education movements: Centre for Economic and Social Rights, Education International, Global Alliance for Tax Justice, Global Campaign for Education and Tax Justice Network and related allies and regional partners.

Do you enjoy working at national, regional and global levels advocating for a sustainable, progressive and gender responsive tax and financing for public education systems? Then this might be the role for you.

The Tax and Gender Equality Policy Advisor will support national and transnational research and analysis, strategic advocacy, and social accountability efforts for gender equality and social inclusion in education financing, with a particular focus on the gendered impacts of tax policies and systems.

The Advisor will work closely with colleagues in focal countries (especially Nepal, Senegal and Zambia - and with links to related work in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Nigeria, Ghana) and with TaxEd Alliance Partners. The Advisor will be working with the Economic Justice team at ActionAid's Global Secretariat.

Contract duration:  12 months Fixed term contract

Entry Salary: Grade D, starting from £40,273.00 Gross salary per annum

Apply here: Tax & Gender Equality Advisor

Closing date:  11 July 2025

If you are interested, please apply by 11th July and share it widely in your networks!

Warmly,

Roos
