Dear all, THE 9th TAWIRI SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE The Organizing Committee of the 9th Biannual TAWIRI Scientific Conference would like to inform you that, the 9th TAWIRI Scientific Conference will be held from 4th-6th December 2013 in Arusha. Theme: Sustaining Wildlife Conservation in Growing Socio-economic Demands.
Sub themes: 1. Human-wildlife interaction 2. Ecosystem health (disease ecology, zoonoses, one health and eco-health) 3. Ethno-botany and vegetation ecology 4. Wildlife ecology and Ecological interactions 5. Wetlands and water resources conservation 6. Climate Change (Impacts, Mitigation and adaptations) 7. Beekeeping research and development
Call for abstracts is now open from 20th April - July 30, 2013 Abstracts: Should be limited to a maximum of 300 words for both oral and poster presentation.
Registration fee:
Early bird registration fee will be Tsh 120,000 or US$ 100, late or on desk registration is Tsh 160,000 or $120. Early bird registration is open from May – 30th November 2013.

Thus, all participants are requested to cover possible costs such as registration fee, transport, accommodation, as well as insurance (foreign participants). • However, despite the limited fund TAWIRI has, the conference participants will be provided with conference materials (bags and stationary), tea/coffee and lunch during Conference days. Conference venue NOTE: Conference venue will be communicated to you soon. Details on Accommodation and transport: • As mentioned before, due to financial crisis, we are sorry to inform you that, TAWIRI will not be able to support participants. We are kindly recommending that participants should make their own hotel booking and request their projects/Institutions to sponsor them.
