Bantu Nebu,
Since becoming president, PMB's party has lost elections that Obasanjo and Jonathan's administrations would have rigged for their party. There is no reason not to expect a free and fair presidential election under PMB. Buhari will win reelection because Nigerians are not being presented with a better alternative. As of now, Buhari remains the best possible choice. May be Obasanjo will find another Jonathan or a Y'aradua before the presidential election.

The majority of Nigerians were in agreement that Jonathan failed as president and they spoke with their votes and Jonathan wisely and humbly accepted their chastisement of his failure.
Nigeria elected Buhari president so as to correct Jonathan's failure but Buhari has so far outpaced Jonathan in clueless-ness, corruption, and incompetence. Jonathan failed because thoughtless ape-like creatures like Kayode Ugomba Adebayo flattered, made excuses for, and fooled him into not seeing reality -- his failings. The same fate has befallen Buhari from the Ayo Ojutalayos, Imperial Wizards, Kayode Adebayos, etc. These impish Bantus stupidly rehash Jonathan's failure whenever Buhari's nepotism, cluless-ness with the Nigerian economy, dictatorial tendency through his IGP and DSS Director, lip service corruption fighting, his replication of Jonathan's failure to protect Nigerian school girls, etc. are mentioned.
After two years in office, Jonathan's ills are no longer reasons to excuse president Buhari's almost totally failed presidency. The president should be a statesman by not running for reelection and by also calling the bluffs of sycophants like Kayode Ugomba Adebayo. President Buhari has proved his decades long opponents, including the Generals who overthrew his administration in 1985, correct. Everything they said about him -- incompetent, nepotistic, Islamist, sectional, tyrannical, clueless, etc -- he has proved that they were right all along.
In a free and fair election, Nigerians will never reelect Buhari president. My fear is that he will rig the election to stay in power and for that katakata will break out in Nigeria -- as in South Sudan, Congo, or even Syria. Numskulls like Kayode Ugomba Adebayo should be castrated and buried alive for being so exceptionally stupid as to be toying with the lives of millions of people by hoisting mediocrity over Nigeria. Their worshiping of Buhari is pathetic and shameful.

Subject: A $31 Million Scandal With Patience Goodluck Shows the Scale of Buhari's Anti-Corruption Battle: Re: What is corruption ?

A $31 million scandal with Nigeria’s ex-first lady shows the scale of Buhari’s anti-corruption battle
Patience Jonathan, the colorful wife of Nigeria’s ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan, has become the latest high profile Nigerian embroiled in a corruption-related scandal. Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has frozen accounts containing $31.4 million controlled by the former first lady who claims some of the money was for payment of medical bills. In a bid to regain control of the accounts, Mrs Jonathan is suing the EFCC, describing the blockage of access to the accounts as efforts to “indirectly harass or harangue” her. Patience Jonathan’s corruption scandal is the latest in a string of cases the EFCC has been involved in since president Buhari took office last year.Buhari has made good on his campaign promise to launch probes into government agencies and institutions. Six months after taking office, Buhari’s administration arrested Sambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser for financial misappropriation of about $2 billion earmarked for military equipment amid the Boko Haram insurgency. Military chiefs have also been questioned and, in some cases, detained over similar charges. But while the EFCC has been busy under the Buhari administration, it has little to show for its efforts so far. Despite instituting multiple cases of theft of state funds against several high profile Nigerians, the agency has not secured any convictions. Ibrahim Magu, head of EFCC, has blamed the lack of progress on lawyers who help money launderers “to escape justice.”The agency’s inability to secure convictions has undercut the potency of Buhari’s anti-corruption campaign which has been dismissed by Nigeria’s main opposition party as being “investigated on the pages of the newspapers.” Given the prevalence of partisan politics in Nigeria, the presidency has also been forced to deny claims that its anti-corruption fight simply targets opposition party members. While Buhari’s reputation as a leader with integrity probably remains intact for now, Nigerians’ early hopes that he would be able to rapidly stamp out corruption and round up former perpetuators is beginning to fade.On Sun, Mar 4, 2018 at 8:44 AM, Joe Attueyi<topc...@yahoo.com> wrote:“..PMB is not an angel, but he is not corrupt (whatever definition we give 'corruption'). 2. Can an honest man surround himself with crooks?“...The debacle at NNPC between Kachikwu and NNPC GM Baru; the subsequent belittling of the intelligence and sensibility of Nigerians that they have “reconciled”; the employment scandals at DSS, Central bank and Federal Inland Revenue; the “Grass Cutting” daylight robbery that was swept under the carpet and now, the grand conspiracy to recall a corrupt fugitive is exposing President Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade to be an elaborate rigmarole. In recalling Abdulrasheed Maina, a chronically corrupt fugitive civil servant, the Attorney General Abubakar Malami, Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, “Thief” of Staff to the President Abba Kyari, the Director DSS Lawal Daura are making a mockery of anti-corruption in Nigeria. With these men, it is clear that ant-anti-corruption is the new name of the present caricature of fighting corruption in Nigeria...”I will stop here for now till I hear your definition of corruption. Like my momma used to say: Show me your friends.......Joe
"I have what it takes to make Nigeria an envy of the world. The international community knows me and, of course, trusts me more than President Buhari. I have no connection with any corrupt cabal. Best of all, I have always succeeded where others fail. So, how can the Nigerian masses be denied the opportunity of having me as their next president? Just compare me and Buhari and be the judge."
Prof ,It’s pretty difficult for any country in black Africa that hasn’t experienced any dictatorship to achieve something meaningful .A good number of our citizens don’t believe in organized leadership. We need a leader who would assist in creating a strong institution which I don’t think is achievable without “tropicalizing”our democracy a bit for all to toe the line.Kindly remember a Yoruba adage which says that“ wooli ti a gb’adura fun were, ko gbodo d’iju” . Meaning :the pastor that intends to pray for a mad man mustn’t close his eyes .Sent from my iPhone

PRESS STATEMENT
SKC Ogbonnia for PresidentMarch 12, 2018USA will resume import of Nigeria’s crude oil once I become presidentNigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, shocked industry insiders at the just concluded SERAPweek in Houston, TX, USA, when he claimed that the United States will no longer buy Nigeria’s crude oil because of the shale boom in the American country. One thing is clear in the honourable minister’s claim: It is either he is displaying abject naivety in the dynamics of US foreign policy or he is plainly being economical with the truth. The full truth is that the seemingly US boycott of Nigeria’s crude oil is profoundly political. The directive was initiated under President Barrack Obama during the time Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was President of Nigeria. Obama never hid his dislike for corruption in Africa, particularly Nigeria, where most of the crude proceeds had ended up in individual bank accounts.Enter BuhariIt was believed that the election of Muhammadu Buhari, as president, could witness dramatic and consequential changes. Though President Buhari has recorded a measurable success in the war against corruption, his accomplishment falls short of the international standard. To that end, the current US president, Donald Trump, has not seen reasons to relax the directive. Hon. Ibe Kachikwu ought to know this fact. Granted that recent shale oil boom has prompted a scale back in US crude imports, yet the country still imports and will continue to import crude oil for strategic reasons.
Help is on the way..
As president, I will restore America’s confidence and genuine investment in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. I am set to exhibit common sense leadership. It is not a new story that the Western world is growing tired of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Apart from the dizzying corruption within the state oil company, the US, in particular, is very frustrated with the advanced-fee fraud letters that originate from Nigeria, most of which are linked to the NNPC. Not only has this scam devastated many American lives, it has also contributed to Nigeria’s bad image in the United States and elsewhere. As Nigeria’s next president, I will make NNPC truly transparent and accountable to the admiration of Nigerians and the international community. For example, besides the much-needed overhaul of the oil giant, one of the many executive orders I will sign on Day 1 of my presidency is the establishment of an NNPC office in the United States. An NNPC office in the US will offer prospective foreign investors the opportunity to conduct business inquiries or the necessary due diligence on various bogus offers with Nigerian addresses. It is mind-boggling that Nigeria is the only major oil-producing nation that does not boast of an office dedicated to its oil and gas interests in the United States, especially in Houston, Texas, the Oil and Gas capital of the world. Moreover, the United States of America is very familiar with my background.Signed: Dr. SKC OgbonniaPOWER TO THE MASSES: SKC Ogbonnia for President“Our Team Will Succeed Where Others Fail”

Ladies & Gentlemen:Greetings. Dr. SKC Ogbonnia is correct in his analysis of Nigeria's fundamental problems, to wit:
"Monocultural dependence on oil in an import-dependent country such as ours that is the problem. That is what must change.
More fundamenrally is the governance structure of our country at all levels. We must constantly harp on a truly federal restructuring of Nigeria, with a clear transition plan from here to there. This is not just a game of musical chairs to the same music and game."
I happen to agree with him totally. It is about time, we brought the young, vibrant, educated and analytical mind like SKC to the leadership of Nigeria as a country. The nonsense and "ass" licking should be over by now. That should be our focus and commitment for 2019 election.God bless!Nnabuenyi Ogbolu, PhD, PMP
