Remember the early days.

Before the noise. Before the chains. Before the world was watching.

There was a voice on Radio Biafra that carried truth, identity, and hope.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu stood when it was unpopular, spoke when silence was safer, and chose sacrifice over comfort.

Like Mandela, he understood a hard truth:

šŸ‘‰ Freedom always demands a price.

Not because suffering is desired, but because oppression never releases its grip willingly.

The journey of Biafra was never about one man—it was about a people awakening.

A people refusing to forget who they are.

A people choosing dignity over fear.

History shows us this pattern again and again:

First they ignore you.

Then they attack you.

Then they try to erase you.

And then… the truth outlives them all.

The spirit of Biafra is bigger than prisons, stronger than intimidation, and louder than silence.

Freedom delayed is not freedom denied.

šŸ•Šļø The struggle continues.

šŸ•Šļø The memory remains.

šŸ•Šļø The future is watching.

What we remember, we protect.

What we protect, we pass on.

These peans aren't going to get him out of prison, you followers of his should begin donating for his legal fees. An email away, I read from you that he is handling the appeal process by himself from Sokoto, even with all the limitations the judge placed on his access to electronics? Ana eji anya į»ma eje Ikwere? Can't you folks figure out that he is likely out of money? He has been in detention for over 5 years, so it should not be a surprise or an embarrassment if he has run out of money by now. Instead of you guys to send help, even if it means using GoFundMe, you are here placing platitudes that neither puts food on the table for him and his family nor helps him rehire those lawyers who left.Ā

I overheard Maxwell Opara, last year, assert that the lawyers who disengaged from the case were not paid a dime throughout their stay on the case; when Nnamdi Kanu's younger brother tried to file a petition on his behalf last year, the judge rejected it because he is not a lawyer (he can file a petition for himself, but not on behalf of anyone else). The judge directed him to some free legal aide organization and Kanu's brother utilized their services for that petition. One needs not be a rocket scientist at this time to recognize that money problem has set in -- it is not a thing of shame since Kanu has been locked up for over 5 years now.Ā

You, his followers, are supposed to step in now with your wallets, not with megalomaniacal platitudes. This is why rarely do people lead protest movements in Nigeria -- leaders of protest movements in Nigeria always get the short end of the stick if they did not succumb to the temptations of getting bought over by the powers that be. If you folks won't pay for Kanu to hire lawyers, I wonder who would be foolish enough to pick up from where he was stopped.Ā Ā
