Igbos hatred for others is eating up the Igbo communities.......they become Delusional and Paranoia sets in. I call it "Egungun dey chase me syndrome".

You start with Hatred for clans, for adjacent streets, and then hatred for neighbors become the order of the Igbo's Day.

Then comes unhealthy rivalries.......

I have warned you Ndi Igbo, repeatedly, but you are thinking that Thomas Osuji is one man, he won’t be able to kill all Ndi Igbo. Wrong.  He has steadily been writing and signaling to Northerners and Westerners for 4 years running to wipe out Ndi Igbo.  He has said in this space that he is more intelligent than all Ndi Igbo put together and that he single handedly will defeat Ndi Igbo.  Are you guys asleep? Zakawi never lifted a rifle to fire at the US, but he constantly encouraged people to just as Thomas Ozodi Osuji is encouraging Hausas to attack Ndi Igbo.  When US realized the dangers Zakawi posed to the existence of the nation, they did what they had to do to protect the nation.  Osuji and his hatred for Ndi Igbo is no different from that of Zakawi.  Osuji does not consider Ndi Igbo to be human beings, here: Take them to the garbage dump; that is where they belong!  This is not him being flippant, Osuji has made the same statement repeatedly in the past and in one instance coupled it with something to the effect of “taking Ndi Igbo to backyard and putting a bullet in the back of their skull”.

 

Now here is another thing he posted yesterday talking about two Igbo women serving in Jonathan’s cabinet.  I want you pay close attention to words used and the venom they pack to catch a glimpse of Osuji’s mind towards Ndi Igbo:

 

  See, Jonathan has figured out that Igbos are born criminals and would do anything for money. He appointed one of them as the governor of the central bank so as to use him to steal Nigerians moneys. He appointed an Igbo fat ugly prostitute as the minister of Finance and another Igbo whore as the head of petroleum. Those opportunistic harlots enable him loot Nigeria’s moneys.

And Igbos are proud of these prostitutes! God, the women make me want to throw up; take them out of my face; seeing their criminal faces makes me go hide.

I looked at the above yesterday and shook my head.  They statements speak for themselves.  The statements have been legally evaluated and the guys were saying that though the referents are obvious, they needs a little bit more to be actionable.  However, the attention of the 2 families being referred to has been drawn to the statements.  Depending on how the elections go, the same statements will be revisited.  Thomas Osuji would then have to show and detail how the 2 Igbo women having been helping anyone steal money.

 

What will hurt Ndi Igbo the most is the failure to address gnats like Osuji.  Elephants can withstand much, but when a gnat flies into an elephants nostrils, it can create an existential discomfort. 

 

Like I have said to Ndi Igbo countless times, take interest in what concerns you.

Ekwueme's problem is his ill education. "You Can't Go Home Again", first published in 1940, is a work of fiction and a posthumous one too. But Azubike Ekwueme either lied about having read the book or read the book but did not understand the fictionalized message in the book.

Azubuike Ekwueme began his fantastic claim as follows:

• Thomas Wolfe had bad-mouthed his home town so much, that the members of the town turned on him. On his return to his hometown, the staked him out. Now, he realizes he Can't Go Home Again.    

The major problem with Ekwueme's shameful attempt at intellectualizing his hate mongering through this book is that he brazenly misrepresented the chief character in the book. Thomas Wolfe, the author, is not a character in the book; George Webber is. Ekwueme could have gotten away with his literary illiteracy had the book been an autobiography -- it is a work of fiction published after the author's death.

The book's message actually contradicts Azubuike Ekwueme's monomaniacal message of Christian dogmatic separatism. Webber succinctly conveyed the book's message as follows: 

• You can't go back home to your family, back home to your childhood ... back home to a young man's dreams of glory and of fame ... back home to places in the country, back home to the old forms and systems of things which once seemed everlasting but which are changing all the time – back home to the escapes of Time and Memory. 

The major message in the above excerpt is obvious: change is time in constant float and it necessary; any attempt to escape from that reality (change), results in an existence whose body of beliefs is riddled with nothing but a series of fixations (an illusionary state). 

You can see that the book has nothing in common with Ekwueme's parochial view on life. George Webber did bad mouth his home town and incurred the wrath of his former neighbors but his home town was just a metaphor for the larger ills of a global society. The hecklers in his home town are the Azubuike Ekwueme's of today whose visions and minds are limited, rudimentary, and hateful. They do not get the bigger picture, never got it, or will ever get it. The world puts up with their illusions for as long as they do not deploy criminality into effectuating their sick minds' construction. And so do we put up with the sick mind of Azubuike Ekwueme on these forums.

Does being a Christian make some of us , that profess the faith

Some  fears that Buhari will convert your priests and churches to Islam stem from one of the basic side effects of most Christian life styles ,
on themes you pastors capitalize on to feed their place of worship,  a life that must be spent on paranoia such as :
1) am dirty , filthy and sinful and need to be saved.
2) fear of hell, an imaginary creation  of the mind .
3) the concept of a heaven, a place probably above the earth , for people who have not sinned or looked at a woman's back side , or may have done all that , but confessed and ready to do worse.
4) hatred of others , professing same God , in a different way.
5) war with devil , an entity no one have been able to identity.
See all the wars and hate engulfing humanity. ISIS, BH. Most are based on religious ideologies and a mad need to convert others to see and worship a type of God one prefers.

It is not about religion per se. We are talking about societies created and nurtured in Christian beliefs.

 We are not talking about establishing a theocracy. Our emulated nations are America, Europeans nations, Ghana and even India. One thing that they all have in common is the they all have low Islamic populations. Low Islamic population means progress. 

Far be it from me to advocate for a theocracy, theocracies happen in un-democratic nations. All Muslim nations are internally undemocratic. Your questions give me the impressions that you may think that we advocate a theocracy. I am an avowed Catholic. But I rarely go to church or mass as we say in Catholicism. 

What we advocate is an un-islamic independent nation with merely just a handful of Muslims. Do not make a mistake about it, when we become free, independent and sovereign nation, we must have an Islam policy. To not become pygmioid fools, we must think right, not Obama right. 

Yet, I'm formidably believing in the society that was Sheparded into maturity by the Judeo- Christian ethics, culture and traditions. Western Democracies are better of today because of it. Ghana is also a better off nation than Nigeria.

This your fight against the nature of Nigeria , in religious terms , is sadly belated and futile and dangerous.

Nigerian Moslems can as well , say they want an independent Nigeria with a handful or no Christians.
You have implied too , that my kind of person, people that are not Christians nor Muslims , should disappear .

The British you believe , hates other religions, knew too well there were Muslims, and Islamic religion in Nigeria when they came , and still joined them with the Judo Christian people they created in the South.

There must be more Muslims in Nigeria. Watch it. Your Christian religion is very restrictive and lacks expansionist ideas. You believe in preaching to convince and convert . Muslims believe in giving birth to natural Muslims , and converting none Muslims by birth to Islam, sometimes by force . Christians stopped doing that long ago.

Your naturally born Christians are in  a year ,with your one man one wife policy very few and a Muslim natural expansionist  plans encourages , by acts of their religious laws, one man to as many as 4 wives. That converts to many Muslim kids over time.

Your religion frowns at marrying girls as young as 14. So some of you end up marrying women, most of whom would stop making babies early because they started late.
A Muslim man would marry a 14 year girl and make her a hatchery. That 14 year old would hatch a minimum 11 kids by the time she is 30.
Does the above make any sense to you ?
I have  suggestions that may help prevent the begetting of more Muslims in Nigeria, thereby stopping their well planned and usually successful expansionist and domineering strategies .
   1) kill all of  the Nigerian Muslims,  if you can
    2) sterilize all their Muslim  women,  if you can find them.
    3) rewrite their , Islamic ,marriage laws, make sure they stop marrying or if they must , restrict them to one man to 1/ 2 a wife or at most , one wife per Muslim man

As a Christian, start marrying a minimum of 7 wives per Christian man , beginning with your Bishops,
And ensure you do it the
Mbaise way - one woman , 10 children.

Ekwueme does not write from convictions, he writes out of mimicking ultra right wing Republican radio host pundits, most of who are halfway educated. That is why there is no cohesion in his thought; that is why he contradicts his own utterances. He claims to be an avowed catholic and in the same sentence negated that claim by disclosing his aversions for attending church services. He constantly claims that there is a "cavernous chasm" between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria. If that is the case, why is still troubled? Has the situation that he is afraid of not taken care of itself by that "cavernous chasm"? It seems to me that he does not know the meaning of that phrase, he probably overheard Rush Limbugh (who is notorious for deploying phrases inappropriately) use it and he began to apply it to Nigeria without knowing that it defeats the source of his fears. 

The best answer to a fool is to ignore him. Azubuike Ekwueme is a fool who should be ignored most, not all, of the time. I think that he has had his 15 minutes for this month, he should be ignored from now until next month.

How much did he collect as constituency fee ? What does it take to rent an office space, hire two staff and pay for 4 national newspapers, daily, so retired teachers and youths that want to read newspapers can converge in his office daily. A budget of N75, 000 / year , could have made him a popular rep. Did he know that?

I can say our legislatures, the Igbos, can be bribed to vote against Igbo interest. Watch it !

The real Igbo does not depend on constituency development allocation. The real Igbo breed requires unimpeded enabling environment to carry on with their private business and such initiatives. That is why the economic strangulation of SE since 1970 has been excruciating on Igbo collective survival. 

Since one week now, Buhari has been chanting how he is going to ban this and ban that. The strangulation of the SE economic corridor was at climax during Obasanjo's regime. Every area of business was banned including spare parts, Tokunbo automobiles, etc, as far as Igbos dominated that area. The ports were congested with seized Igbo containers. Auctioning of stranded consignments belonging to Igbo importers became the order of the day. Even Ibeto was diminished. His cementry industry village in PH was grounded to prop up Dankote untill Yaradua granted Ibeto amnesty of sorts, after 5 years of Igbo-sensitive embargo. In this time, Ibeto beca,e the absolute cement, rice, flour, etc monopolist in Nigeria. That conspiracy against the SE is about to be rekindled under Buhari who has already started declaring such manifestoe.

It is painful to watch the Igbo smarting themselves to hell in the preparation to commit another collective political suicide and to cast votes for a Buhari whose antecedents is awash with conspiracy regarding SE economic corridor strangulation and blockade.

At least Jonathan has demonstrated a tendency to untie the ropes of SE economic corridor strangulation by implementing policies like aviation liberalization granting international access to Enugu airport. There is no reason for him not to continue in this path of SE economic emancipation. Since the Igbo cannot have the presidency or the vice, we should at least have some economic leverage which is in safer hands of Jonathan than Buhari. At least we have seen signals to this effect. So, why would any sane Igbo be obsessed with helping Buhari to become president?

Yes, the political dividend for Ndigbo in the next 20 years will depend on who the Igbo helps to become president, not on constituency development allocation.

It is true Igbos are makers and not takers. The constituency development funds are for the people and not for the legislature , whose salary, has already surpassed most of similar position holders in most advanced country.
I do wish Buh bans that advancing if he wins. Such money should rather go directly to the people through a special task force.
Right trade policies like importation can enliven our Igbo industrial base.
I still believe no president should have the " let there be light " and
" there was light " power , you suspect Buh would do , if he wins.
OBJ was able to do all he did to sabotage some Igbo business interests probably because he was able to buy most of the legislatures, including some Igbos over on his side.
Buhari , I believe , may not get into romance and loot sharing with the legislative body. That would mean all concerned with policies on businesses that may affect the Igbos as well may do so on sound merits and not because Baba said so.
Corruption my brother , kills  conscience and rationality.
Once corruption is curtailed, most other Nigerian national problems will be easier to handle.
I support Buh mainly on my belief he would bring about some sanity in our polities.
PDP has out lived their salt , and Joe , is just a figure head, honored greatly in his party because he lets anything to go.
Keep the fight and fate in Joe strong, while I hold tight on mine.
At last, most Nigerians will agree it is idiotic to let a thief watch over our treasury.

I think you lose sight of the fact that even 100 Buhari's will not be able to even frighten the Nigerian corruption industry. You seem to underrate the depth of the Nigerian corruption culture. At the same time, you appear to overrate the potentials of Buhari as one individual. Since 1914, no one has been able to scuttle the corruption cabal. Like many ants, they will sting even an "elephantic" Buhari into forcefully induced coma. Buhari's resolve against the corruption cabal will be of no consequence because as you rightly said, he would not be a "let-there-be-light" president. No legislator in Nigeria can survive or sustain themselves without corruption and since Buhari cannot operate a democratic government without rapport with these endemically corrupt legislators, his dream of defeating corruption is a pipe dream. Unless Buhari would implement a despotic dictatorship of the worst version which may induce these legislators to flee the country, he would fail woefully like predecessors. Is this form of autocratic regime in your calculus? If not, forget Buhari's noise about defeating corruption in Nigeria.

Talking about Igbo economic corridor strangulation: let me alert you that Buhari would have easier than OBJ in actualizing his ban-igbo-business-manifestoe. Why? OBJ did not have ethnic majority in both houses. Considering the current geopolitical structure of Nigeria at this time, Buhari would have ethnic and religious majority in both houses, meaning that it would be easier for him to pass any bill and other executive policies. Please see number of LGAs, states, senatorial seats, etc of the country. All these are tilted to the North. This enables northern presidents to command overwhelming majority in both houses. This is one of the dangers of electing Northern presidents. It converts them into regional and ethnic despots even under civilian admin giving them powers to perform acts resembling Buhari's unilateral registration of Nigeria in OIC.

When you mention the need to curtail corruption through conscientious rationality, I revert you to the foregoing and make haste in adding that no democratic Nigerian government will even threaten corruption not to talk of curtailing it. Buhari or Jonathan, thieves will continue to watch over the treasury in any Nigerian democratic dispensation. According to history, even past military governments (including Buhari's) became even more corrupt than what we have today. Considering the foregoing, it becomes a reckless smokescreen for Buhari to ride on the anti-corruption mantra.

As I said earlier, Ndigbo are famous for committing collective political suicide each time there is an election in Nigeria.

The west is playing tribal politics. The North is playing tribal politics. The SS is playing tribal politics. The Middle Belt is playing tribal politics. Only the silly "over-enlightened" Igbo are here wanting to be seen as the only detribalized Nigerian around. Isn't that imbecillic? Watch it: the Igbo will drag themselves to the North/West political slaughterhouse come 14.02.2015,stagger back home proud of their self-betrayal, and start the marginalization chant soon after. What a people! 

Jonathan has at least given signs that he would not be willing to participate in the economic strangulation and air/land/and sea blockade of the SE economic corridor (see Enugu airport) etc. In contrast, this economic chokehold was at its peak during both Buhari and Obasanjo's regimes. In this consideration, only insane persons would facilitate the presidency of aspirants whose antecedents we already know.

Having said that, all indicators have it that Jonathan not Buhari will win this election if and when it holds.

It seems am more hopeful than you are on the possibility of having a less corrupt Nigeria , come few years from now.
I believe  a 10% reduction in corruption under any government, Buh or Joe , will be a milestone towards a cleaner Nigeria .
If Buh's win will cause some looters to flee, ok too.
Buhari may not take bribe , nor give any. That at least , may save Nigeria some cash .

The reality is that 1% reduction under any president (including Buhari)would be a pipe dream not to talk about 10%. In the  contrary: corruption escalates at the rate of 15%-20% under every new regime in Nigeria mainly because of the many people needing their sponsoring money back. Also, Buhari will not be able to cause any looter to flee because as you said, he would not be allowed  to operate a late-there-be-light regime in a democratic government where he has no competence to lord it over both houses.

It is delusional to dream of a Buhari who will not take bribe or give any unless one would shy away from realities which have even been established in the past. Did Buhari give a clean account of the €2.5 billion PTF funds? The answer is a resounding NO (see senate committee scrutiny report). So, why would anyone believe that the same man would not do it again. By the way: who is funding Buhari? Are those sponsors not going to recoup their money? Won't Buhari compensate them through contracts? There you are. That already is preferential corruption, an egregious form of corruption.

It would have served Nigeria best to front a candidate whose name is not Buhari who may have been rugged and dogged at 40, but not at 72.
