NIGER DELTA AND MIDDLE BELT YOUTH GROUPS MEET.. WARN AGAINST HATE SONGS AND
SPEECHES . DISOWN PRO -BUHARI NIGER DELTA YOUTH RALLY IN ABUJA.
A Coalition of Niger Delta and Middle Belt Youth groups met at Abuja and in
a joint Press Release warned against the hate speeches and songs
circulating against the Igbos in the North. They called on the federal
government to apprehend the authors of the messages and songs.
The groups , Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Organisations, CONDYO and the
Congress of Middle belt Youths, COMBEY in the joint Communique signed by
Pepple Digifa and Ntom Federick the leaders and conveners of the meeting
also condemned the quti notice against Northerners and Yoruba people in
the Niger Delta by some disgruntled Niger Delta Youths . They assured the
Notherners and the Yorubas in the Niger Delta of their safety anytime and
any day. But at the same time they condenmned the quit notice to Igbos in
the North by some misguied Arewa Youths . They called on leaders of the
North to caution the Arewa Youths as they should realise that 2017 is
different from 1966 to 1970.
The Niger Delta group dissociated themselves from the pro Buhari protests
in Abuja and noted that the so-called Niger Delta youths that orchestrated
the protest were hirelings and paid agents who do not represent Niger Delta
Youths in any form. "In as much as we are not against pro Buhari protests,
we in the Niger Delta as other Nigerians have the right also to find out
the state of health of our President and paid protests are not in the
