1 The attention of the IGBO PEOPLS CONGRESS AND THE IGBO ABORIGINES  is brought to the fuitless effort of some geneological and historical revisonists to associate the Igbos with the Jewish ancestry and root.

2. These people embarrass Ndigbo by trying to associate them with the Jews because of certain attributes and similarites between the two races.

3. They believe that by claimng the Igbos are Jews, it will attract the recognition of the state of Israel.

4. But the truth is that it is the Jews that are actully Igbos. The Jews are Igbos that migrated to the middle East thousands of years ago from Ugwuele area in Okigwe , Imo state.  They settled in the Palestine area and later some of them migrated out of the middle East again after the Babylonian captivityand when they were scattered all over the world.

5 Some of them settled at Aguleri in Anambra state and from there to other parts of Igbo land.

6 Invariablly therefore, Jews are Igbos  and we can therefore also say that Igbos are Jews but not in the sense those who labour to force Igbos as Jews go about it.

Jews should be proud of their Igboness and pay annual homage to their Igbo homeland.

A Coalition of Niger Delta and Middle Belt Youth groups met at Abuja and in
a joint Press Release warned against the hate speeches and songs
circulating against the Igbos in the North. They called on the federal
government to apprehend the authors of the messages and songs.

The groups , Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Organisations, CONDYO  and the
Congress of Middle belt Youths, COMBEY   in the joint Communique signed by
Pepple Digifa and Ntom Federick  the leaders and conveners of the meeting
also condemned the quti notice against  Northerners and Yoruba people in
the Niger Delta by some disgruntled Niger Delta Youths . They assured the
Notherners and the Yorubas in the Niger Delta of their safety anytime and
any day. But at the same time they condenmned the quit notice to Igbos in
the North by some misguied Arewa Youths . They called on leaders of the
North to caution the Arewa Youths as they should realise that 2017 is
different from 1966 to 1970.

The Niger Delta group dissociated themselves from the pro Buhari protests
in Abuja and noted that the so-called Niger Delta youths that orchestrated
the protest were hirelings and paid agents who do not represent Niger Delta
Youths in any form. "In as much as we are not against pro Buhari protests,
we in the Niger Delta as other Nigerians have the right also to find out
the state of health of our President and paid protests are not in the

The Coalition of Civil Society Organisations of Nigeria,COSCON are making arrangements to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London. The Coalition made up of more than three hundred civil society groups in Nigeria resolved to visit the President in the wake of the hoopla and disquiet over his medical trip in the past few months and the agitations for his return or  resignation.

The President of the Coalition Chuks Ibegbu and the Secretary General Comrade Idris Abdulkadir will lead the team. Other members that will join them include Comrade Ogunlesi Badmos, Comrade Moses Kazeem, Comrade Hafsatu Imam, Comrade Brown Gorge, Comrade Effiong Etim .

In a statement after their AGM in Abuja , Comrade Chuks Ibegbu called on all parties in the issue to allow peace for reign and for democratic tenets to be observed by the rulers and ruled in Nigeria.  He stated that the arrangement for the visit is on and Nigerians will be told the details .

Five Peoples Democratic Party Pressure Groups , THE PDP NATIONAL SUPPORTERS FORUM, THE PDP ALMAGAMATED WOMEN SUPPORTERS, THE PDP NATIONAL YOUTH COALITION, THE PDP GRASS ROOT COALITION AND THE PDP SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORK have vowed to end the APC rulership of the country come 2019.

The groups spoke after their joint meeting at Abuja recently. They accused the APC led federal government of insensitivty and lack of ideas on how to move the country foward. Above all they accused the APC government of sowing the seed of discord in the country and nepotism.

The groups congratulated the Caretaker Committee of the Party for a successful National Congress held recently and appealed to all party members and those who defected to APC some years ago to come back to a rejuvenated PDP.

The groups expressed confidence in the Alh Markafi and Senator Ben Obi led Caretaker Committee. They advised the APC to begin to prapare their handover note as early as possible since Nigerians will drive them out at the pollls in 2019.
