Nebu,

The problem with dumb Igbos like yourself and Kanu is that you always seem to assume what comes after the emergence of your new Biafra nation.

Won't there be dumb Igbos on the new Biafra of tomorrow?

What is stopping Igbo governors from performing now and making Igbo states the cynosure of all eyes in Nigeria?

Who will lead the Igbos in the new Biafra nation? Are they going to be the same leaders now or Biafra will be rudderless until a new crop of sterling leaders are born?

A myriad of factors make a great a nation. Mere declaration of being a nation is not necessarily one of the factors.

When people like you erroneously feel merely becoming a nation state will automatically turn your current political leaders into super-performing leaders, one realizes that your thinking is wishful and not measured or intelligently assessed.

Believers of the Biafra nation are fools, who believe in a fool's paradise. They are fools who fail to take responsibility now to improve and develop the Igbo nation within Nigeria, but blame Nigeria for their woes, yet expect miracle to happen and build the new Biafra nation. Will the new Biafra be populated with brand new Igbos or recalibrated Igbos automatically once Biafra nation is declared.

I believe you guys are as mad as hatters. Insanely put together, both in thought and being!

Olola,
Try to give some of us credit sometimes. The only thing you wrote below that Nebu has not written so many times is that Kanu "believes he could build a military force that would be strong enough to defeat the Nigerian armed forces in a civil war--similar to the Nigerian Civil War (1967-70)". Nnamdi Kanu has no such belief, that was one of the reasons that I dismissed his Biafra pursuit. Kanu has always professed his Biafra as emanating through peaceful protests, something that no rational adult would believe, especially in light of the failure of the first Biafra. For over two decades, I have been stating that Biafra can only come to fruition through waging a war against Nigeria and prevailing or if multiple sections of Nigeria mount secessionist declarations at the same time.

Apart from attaching the word "indigenous" to their name, which makes them seem unenlightened, my next reason for seeing them as not serious was their appeal to peaceful movement and appeal to a potential international community's sympathizing with them in the event that the FGN applied drastic measures against them. The Biafran leadership of 1967 hoped that the world would not standby and watch Nigeria annihilate Igbos through the barrels of the gun and hunger, yet that was what happened. I was a child in Biafra, I still remember the extreme hunger that visited us and the frequency of our playmates' hourly/daily deaths, so embarking on another Biafra without outmatching Nigeria in arms and soldiers can only make sense to youngsters who did not witness Biafra. Based on these factors, it is not surprising that 99.9% of IPOB members and followers are youngsters born after Biafra.

By no means does the above mean that Igbos, in general, would object to an exiting of Nigeria that would not lead to the sufferings of 1967-1970 and the balkanization of Igbo land, which has led to lots of Igbo sub-ethnicities denying being Igbo and lowering the population of Igbo people of Nigeria. If Igbos could exit Nigeria today, and form their own country encompassing all Igbo sub-ethnicities without Nigeria waging a war against them, or if they would prevail over Nigeria should Nigeria wage a war against them, at least 70% of Igbos would support such an exit. I would exit Nigeria in a jiff just to no longer share a country with cowardly, corrupt, dishonest, and extraconstitutional practitioners like Imperial Wizard and other dumb Nigerians of toady.

As I have written several times before, Nnamdi Kanu's saga is a sad one.
He has wasted most of his adult life pursuing a dream, however important
it is to him and millions of others who share his heritage employing a method
that is unlikely to yield the desired results.

Far too many prominent Nigerians of Igbo descent have advised Nnamdi
Kanu to pursue his dream of a Republic of Biafra using peaceful means
including entering politics which with his name recognition would foster acceptance
by his constituency to be elected as a member of the HOR  or even as a Senator.
He could have used this route to promote the idea of secession of the SE from
the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He could have joined with others to campaign for a referendum which if supported
by even just 60% of the Igbo might be sufficient for bringing the matter up in the
HOR or at the Senate.

He rejected all of these entreaties!

He believes he could build a military force that would be strong enough to defeat
the Nigerian armed forces in a civil war--similar to the Nigerian Civil War (1967-70) but
with the opposite result.

I think Nnamdi Kanu suffers from a Personality Disorder which seriously affects his judgement.
He suffers from a Messianic complex and delusion in which he considers himself as a chosen Messiah
that would deliver his people from the brutal rulers of the Nigerian 'Zoo' in the same manner
that Moses deliver the Jews from their sufferings under the Pharaoh of Egypt.

It is apparent that he does not have a full  awareness about the interethnic relationships within
the former Eastern of Nigeria and Nigeria as a whole. His idea of a Republic of Biafra that includes
the entire former eastern region of Nigeria and extends westward to Edo state and northwards
to the Middle Belt would have been an insurmountable obstacle. o overcome.

Any time I am in Nigeria, I always wonder what percentage of the Igbo who live and work
and own properties and businesses in other regions of Nigeria would return to the SE
even if Nnamdi Kanu  or any other secessionist from the SE
is successful (hopefully) through peaceful means and a Republic of Biafra is created.

Would the Igbo who were born in Lagos and other regions of Nigeria 3 or 4 generations ago have
a place to call home in the SE that they could return to and be welcome?

Would Nigerians of mixed descent and those of other ethnic origins be allowed to stay and
become citizens of the Republic of Biafra if they chose to remain within the boundaries of
new country?

I ask these questions because I am inclined to believe that the answers either way are impossible
to achieve--regardless of whether the secessionist enclave is in the SE, the SW or any from any other
zone in Nigeria. These reasons and others are what compels me to believe that Nigeria is too complex
and to intertwined to break up into multiple independent nations.

Yet here we are--a young man in his 40s has decided to waste most of his life in solitary confinement
for the sake mirage he sees as the future of his people!

I truly free sorry for him. I hope his wife, my fellow alumnus of UI, would have sufficient
emotional capacity and the resources she needs to raise their young kids to become
productive human beings anywhere in the world they chose to work and live in.
They could migrate to Canada and see how human beings from all over the world regardless
of their ethnic origins could live together in peace. We would welcome the Nnamdi Kanu family
with open arms if they chose to do so.

Bye,

Ola

GK,

This reply is for you and not for that idiotic Nebu that has lost all sense of normalcy.

GK, can you confirm what was insulting about my post below? Please, quote the specific insulting sentence or excerpt from my post.

The problem with a lot of Nigerian people like Nebu, Madu et al(and increasingly yourself) on these fora is the ability to take responsibility for their own failure and chart a way to overcome their shortcomings.
They see anyone that is brazen enough to tell them barefaced that they are shirking their responsibilities and embracing ideals that do not exist, rather being realistically inclined, as their enemy.

The stupid Nebu in his response to you below, that is a grown man, not being able to have an adult discussion to argue his position, reminiscing the days when he could have received support from his Igbo compatriots 'who would have torn someone' apart.

Igbos like Nebu are the bane of the hard working decent Igbos all across Nigeria. Once you hit home with them with facts, they retort that others are jealous of Igbos. Jealous of Igbos for what?

I've never yearned to live, work or sojourn in any igboland. It's Igbos that yearn to sojourn in my land and others, to make a livelihood for themselves and their families, yet the fool(s) turn around and have the temerity to say the locals are jealous of them.

Fact must be said to people of Igbo descent like Nebu, name one thing that Igbos have that could that Yorubas or ordinary Nigerians will covet about Igbos?

If Igbos have anything worthy that other Nigerians find covetous, why is Igboland desolate and devoid of sojourners like other non-igboland in Nigeria?

Igbos themselves are running away from the land that is cursed by the deeds of their forefathers, and deeds that the present Igbos are failing to confront and offload as the albatross around their neck.

The problem with Igbos is that the reasonable and moderate Igbos , which I will like to be are in the majority, are afraid to confront the minority despicable ones that are loud and unruly amongst them.

Recently, a former governor(Kalu or something) in one of their accursed states confirmed that over 30,000 Igbos must have died due Nnamdi Kanu's antics, yet in another breath to take the sting out of that assertion claim that he is leading a delegation to negotiate amnesty with the government. What a people?

GK, I do not owe anyone any apologies for my post. If you want to contest any assertion therein, trot them out with facts. My ears are wide open, they are not car doors!

The time is here when fake idiots and liars like Nebu yansh will be opened to the whole world. Instead of proffering solutions they whine and blame others for their own inadequacies. Let them show is why the so-Igbo state cannot excel and show their god-given Biafran endorsement wherever they are now?

Why are their towns and villages desolate and being abandoned for other people's land?

These are pertinent questions.........Let it be answered by those whose jealousy of others have made them abandon their own land.

Capital fools.......dem wan hear word, dem go hear am!

The above shows that Nnamdi Kanu's methodology for achieving the

To my knowledge, he did not hold any peaceful protests on Nigerian soil.
It is quite possible that he organized or attended peaceful protests for Biafra

Bye,

Ola

Nnamdi Okwu Kanu //  (born 25 September 1967)[5] is a British[6] political activist known for advocating for the independence of Biafra from Nigeria.[7] He is the leader and founder of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which he founded in 2012, to restore the defunct State of Biafra which existed in Nigeria's Eastern Region during the Nigerian Civil War.[8][9]

As the director of a United Kingdom-registered radio station named Radio Biafra, Kanu propagated Biafran separatism.[10][11] He was arrested on treason charges in LagosNigeria on 14 October 2015 and was detained for more than a year, despite various court orders that ruled for his release. When in court, Kanu appeared regularly wearing a Jewish prayer shawl and head covering. He said in court, that he "believes in Judaism" and considers himself a Jew. He has led his Biafran people to various Jewish prayers and religious observations on different occasions.[12] On 28 April 2017, Kanu was released from prison on bail.[3] Nigerian security forces attempted to quash IPOB's armed wing, the Eastern Security Network, which culminated in a low-level conflict in early 2021. Despite the fighting, Kanu maintained that IPOB was interested in a peaceful solution and achieving Biafran independence without violence or harm. In June 2021, he was widely reported to have been allegedly re-arrested by Interpol[13][14][15] in Kenya and handed over to Nigeria but in April 2024, Interpol denied any involvement in the arrest and consequent rendition to Nigeria.[16][17]

In 2025, he was sentenced to life imprisonment on terrorism charges.[18]

Early life

Kanu was born 25 September 1967 in Isiama Afara Ukwu, Umuahia — within the claimed territory of the Republic of Biafra — a few months after it had declared independence from Nigeria. His father, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu (JP),[19] and his mother, Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu, were Nigerian traditional monarchs.[20] He attended Library Avenue Primary School and went to Government College Umuahia for his secondary education. He studied at University of Nigeria, Nsukka and moved to the UK before graduating.[3]

Early activism

Kanu began his activism for the freedom of Biafra as a Radio Biafra director and anchor of Biafra awareness under Ralph Uwazuruike, leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), who said while in a meeting in Kaduna, Nigeria on 12 June 2014, that he handed over Radio Biafra to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB but Kanu disappointed him.[21] Radio Biafra however, was established by the defunct Biafran government in 1967 with the aim of championing the Biafran cause. Kayusee,

Very interesting post.

Why don't you forward the dossier to EFCC? I'm sure DOK will not object.

You've been flogging the same story for years without any concrete proof.

Just fold your tent and steal away, no one is interested in your character smearing. Go get a life!

Breaking News: Ola Kassim Busted In Nigerian In Diaspora Organization Billion Naira Land Scam

Words are going round that a purported not-for-profit, Nigerians in Diaspora Organization; NIDO is a smoke screen by highly placed Nigerians and a handful of Nigerians based in Canada and the United States to perpetrate fraud. And officials of NIDO are not doing anything to dispel the doubts about the veracity of the organizations operations. The organization is currently enmeshed in a 64 hecter land deal controversy said to be worth several Billions of Naira in Pyakasa, Abuja, the Nigeria’s capital.

Pyakasa, a suburb of the Nigeria’s Federal capital territory became an historic village after President Bill Clinton of the United States had a stop over there in August 2000.

NIDO’s officials are also alleged to have flagrantly abused donations coming to the organization. Specifically, twelve Virgin Nigeria’s air ticket meant for the youth wing of the organization for last years Diaspora’s conference in Abuja was racketeered.

Going by investigation NIDO may have benefited in land deal worth close to a Billion Naira courtesy of former Federal Capital Territory Minister, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. The chairman of NIDO, Dr. Ola Kassim, a Nigerian resident in Canada has denied the allegations.

Pointblanknews.com gathered that although NIDO is incorporated as a non-governmental corporation, it is run as a personal thrust of Dr. Kassim, his family members and some close allies. NIDO is registered in Washington DC as a non-for-profit, non-governmental organization yet it operates from the Nigerian embassy in Washington DC as an exclusive concern of Dr. Kassim’s inner circle yet funded entirely by Nigeria’s tax payers.

According to sources, Dr. Kassim entered into negotiation with the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA through an arrangement brokered by the then FCT Minister, Mallam El-Rufai. It was said that he requested for land allocation on behalf of Millions of Nigerians in Diaspora. But in truth 99.9 percent of Nigerians living abroad going by an opinion poll ran by pointblanknews.com earlier in the week have neither heard of NIDO or aware of its operation yet on behalf the unsuspecting Nigerians, a large estate of land was allocated to NIDO at Pyakasa Village rechristened Diaspora Village in Abuja. Also central to the flawed land allocation process at FCDA is one Dr. Ismailah Iro of Abuja Geographical Information System, AGIS.

After the deal was sealed the inner caucus of NIDO sat to share the booty without recourse to or consultation with the millions of Nigerians in Diaspora whom they claim to be representing. NIDO formed a conclave of questionable “fellows” chief amongst the beneficiaries was said to be one London based self-styled Asiwaju, 21 year old Dayo Israel designated by the group as its coordinator for Youths in Diaspora: Ola Kassim, Jerome Akindolire; Gladys Atawo, Samuel Modupe Olupona, Sunday Oladele Olatunji, Sikiru Ayoola Lawal, Yemi Oke, Temidayo Babajide Onabolu, Adeyinka Olanrewaju Oyenubi, Michael Adewole Daramola and Emmanuel Akinwumi, all based in Toronto Canada.

The Abuja land is said to be part of incentives given as incentives to encourage Nigerians living abroad to come and assist in the development of the nation. It was also gathered that if the land had been dispensed with fairness then thousands of Nigerians, especially those who live overseas, would have been able to gain access to land in Abuja at affordable prices. Abuja lands are priced beyond the reach the average Nigerian.

Unfortunately, those who benefited from the NIDO arrangement were said to be members of Dr. Kassim’s immediate family and close friends with the intention of becoming land speculators in Abuja.

It is further alleged that there is another hidden list of names of Nigerians living abroad, especially in the United States that was used to secure lands that are now being resold exorbitantly. It is said that the Nigerians whose names appear on this secret list actually exist and live in the U.S but they are not aware that their names were used in the said deal. Our Editors made frantic efforts to get the list from NIDO officials during the week but they did not get the cooperation of the organizations officials. The office manager of NIDO, Ms. Stella Onuoha’s reaction was typical “Oga Nigeria is your country; if you like you can go ahead and paint it black.” But Pointblanknews.com was not out to denigrate Nigeria. The intention was to make public officials accountable so that the democracy in the nation would be strengthened.
