Adelabu
Chief Adegoke Adelabu - 'Penkelemense'

Dear Chief Obediah Oghoerore Alagbe Otitigbe,
Afis Odidere, notorious Atty. Ayo Ojutalayo, Leye, QS etc did not say 'pim' and it is not surprising. Flamboyant Chief Adegoke Adelabu a political stalwart but was affiliated to wrong party NCNC maybe?  If so, why must his love and service to his people be down played because of his party affiliation? Well if this be the case why then and surprisingly now? As you rightly pointed out prophets are never honored among their own domains.

…. And on that note,  Atty. Ayo Ojutalayo please educate us… write briefs on flamboyant Chief Festus Okotie Ebo, Mazi Mbonu Ojike (boycott the boycottables) and Pa Aminu Kano (consummate egalitarian Nigerian) .There are good and bad everywhere. Atty. Ayo, stop demeaning your worth in the eyes of many daily by your Igbo bashing ‘penkelemense’.  Nigeria will never brake up and ‘Igbo eku ni go’ (Igbo has risen from be-deviling slumber).

'...and with this I rest my case..."

“Can you tell us what were the "services" Chief Adegoke Adelabu provided for his people that are now downplayed? Shikena Afis…” – June 1, 2016

Omo YewaAwori/Orlu Afis,
I will gladly tell you what those services are. As you well know, some of these things have intrinsic value.
Now, let’s take a step back as I skimp on this…to answer your question!  If you recall I published ‘Twelve powers of man a while back right? Two among those are ORDER and HUMILITY. Chief Adegoke Adelabu had these. Actually these gifts were not 'down-played' but I doubt if may knew his motivating force. Why do you think we have very poor leadership in Nigeria and Africa as a whole today? The reason is very simple to discerning 'eyes'.  These folks in corridors of power lack too many things. Hence they are looters and thieves not leaders . Next crop of politicians will have to be properly  schooled. They have to imbibe these spiritual qualities in order to lead the world or guide children of God. Nigeria will rise up to its full potential.

“In future Nigeria will be so nicely run or administered that other African countries,  even Europeans and Americas, Asians  etc will be coming to Nigeria to learn how to run their governments” – Leader O. O. Obu

The little that I know tells me that Chief Adekoge Adelabu – ‘Penkelemense’ was blessed by Chineke the Great Olodumare  (God) with these two powers namely Order and Humility. You cannot purchase them... these blessings from God.

ORDER is one the Twelve Powers of man.. This symbolizes the orderly disposition of things following one after another. It is the harmonious sequence or the condition in which things are in their proper and divine places. It is the natural, moral and the spiritual constitution of all the planes of the universe It is absolute obedience and lowliness of heart as recorded in Paul's letter to the Romans (see Romans 5:19 and in 1st Peter 1:2.

“I belong to you and you belong to me”. - Chief Adegoke Adelabu a truly darling of the people! ('the word we speak is spirit')

HUMILITY is another and do we need it? Yes and for the these attributes....., meekness, gentleness, lowliness, docility, not pompous or wallowing in vain glory or glorifying oneself,  submissiveness and difference. All those who lack humility cannot please God. The proud are always susceptible to eminent fall and disgrace hence Nigeria is moving backwards.
"Buhari is a national disgrace' - Catholic Cardinal of Abuja "Na so we dey see am everyday  .... and na so e dey happenevery day" (see Colossians 2:23; Galatians 5:22—23)

“I belong to you and you belong to me”. - Chief Adegoke Adelabu (a truly darling of the people)

Afis etc did you guys hear that.? '...the word you speak is spirit...'

“Adegoke Adelabu was truly a man of the people unlike the corrupt and thieving pretenders who parade the corridors of power today. - by Lekan Babalola
Lo batan!!!

"Can you tell us what are the 'services' that Gov. Fayose provided? Hahaha!
Gov. Ayodele Fayose provided moral support, courage and out outspokenness when needed.  He is a Merciful human and you can see he cares for all and sundry particularly Igbo

MERCY:  This one consists of compassion, forbearance, pity, clemency, benevolence, pardon and leniency. In this are forgiveness, favor, appreciation, good disposition, indulgence, cheerfulness and thanks.  God is the source of life for all living. God therefore epitomizes MERCY for without mercy , none of us would see salvation. The Bible best explains it..."blessed are merciful, for they shall obtain mercy". -  ( see Matt . 5:7) Matt. Psalm 52:8, Romans 9:15—18, Ephesians 4:16,etc)

Afis, you asked me core question that open me up ‘spiritually’. Please in return, I want you to patronize Igbo traders. If you have vacant plot in Ilupeju, Lekki Phase II, Akure or in as  far away forbidden areas like in Sambiosa forest  NE sell them to Igbo. It is in our DNA to develop Nigeria.
L'Orukun Oyigiyigi ese da da!

Good morning, Alagba Ojutalayo:
Our Chief Otunba Ude is turning into a joker indeed.
He's telling us he's a liar like his Igbos.

What his rambler's rants show is that, he was just regurgitating what he heard from his older ancestors about Penkelemess. The chief neither knows what kind of politics Penkelemess was playing, nor is he aware of his emergence......all Chief Otunba Ude knows is that, Adelabu was with Azikwe and against Awo.
That was the same stupidity showcased by the Osu KC Ngozi Asagwara, when he stated his ignorance on "Penkelemess" means "Political mess".
These ignoramus igbo brothers are now telling all their hate filled stories to their younger ones like Nnamdi Kanu.
Those younger ones are now taking positions that may eventually spells doom for the Igbos again.
Adegoke Adelabu did not leave any worthwhile Infrastructural or palpable Legacy except the word "Penkelemess", and his opposition to Awo's party. Adelabu was just a great speech deliverer and a witty person just like most Ibadan people if you ever sat with them and chat.

My driver is an Ibadan boy, very smart, a mechanic when I wasn't around, and very quick on his feet with jabs of street speeches that kept me laughing most times as he rain abuses on street hawkers and police alike.
Most Ibadan people are very witty, and very articulate in deliverance of speeches to the point that one will understand, be amused at once..... and this wittiness spread from Oyo thru Ogbomosho and to Ibadan, if you are a good observant of humans.
It was this wittiness we witnessed in SL Akintola as against Awo's reservedly conservative in nature, which may represent the Ijebu people's cool and calculating demeanor.

When Adelabu became a federal minister, what part of Ibadan did he impact with development, in social or infrastructure-wise?
Maybe there was, I never saw or heard about it.
All I knew and heard about him was that he invented the word "Penkelemess". Lobatan!

JUST TO MAKE IGBOS HAPPY....Maybe Yoruba should start giving awards to inventors of words like "Penkelemess", while we ignore leaders who built Cocoa House, start educational revolution, implement free health and promote sports by building stadiums and introducing TV and radio to Yorubaland......
Wo ojare before I run off into Tangential Sunset, let's leave these ignorants to their delusions!
