PCO never ceases to amaze in his belief systems, re-posting of unverified claims and propensity to embrace any shred of frivolous claims as long as it simply aligns with his usually biased leanings.

It is unbecoming for a man of God to engage so much in secular issues which bring his faith onto question.
If one needs to be secular, be secular fully and if religion is your calling hands off secular issues that obviously you don't understand. People like PCO simply don't understand that.

Oshiomhole denies that senators’ signatures were forged in Natasha’s suspension saga

Mr Oshiomhole said the reports were based on a misinterpretation and misrepresentation of comments he made on Monday during an interview on AIT's Politics Today.

Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has denied media reports quoting him as saying that the signatures of some senators listed on the recommendation for the suspension of Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, were forged.

Mr Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo State, said the reports were based on a misinterpretation and misrepresentation of his comments during an interview on Monday on AIT’s Politics Today.

He clarified in a statement on Tuesday.

Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended from the Senate in March 2025 for six months on the recommendation of its Committee on Ethics, Privileges, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions, which found her guilty of defying the chamber’s seating arrangement and engaging in alleged misconduct during plenary on 20 February 2025.

Before the committee recommended her suspension, the Kogi senator had accused the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, of sexually harassing her despite his friendship with her husband.

The suspension sparked controversy at the time, with many calling for Mr Akpabio’s removal. Last Monday, the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, acknowledged that the whole issue had distracted the Senate.

Denial

Mr Oshiomhole said he stood by everything that transpired during the suspension process, noting that the only concern he raised during the interview was that a member of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions had complained that attendance signatures of some senators were attached to the committee’s final report.

“I agree absolutely with the spokesperson of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Yemi Adaramodu, that no signature of Senators was forged in Natasha Akpoti’s suspension. This is because no Senator complained to me that their signature was forged. The only comment I made was that one Senator, who is a member of the Committee, “claimed” that the attendance signatures of some Senators were attached to the final report. Any suggestion to the effect that I alleged that any Senator’s signature was forged is completely untrue and should be disregarded,” he said.

Mr Oshiomhole maintained that although the issue of Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension had long been settled, he was merely responding to questions regarding comments reportedly made by the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele.

The context in which I commented on Senator Natasha Akpoti’s issue was the AIT interviewer’s claim that Senate Leader Distinguished Senator Bamidele Opeyemi referred to the matter as the “lowest point of the three years of the 10th Senate,” to which I replied that “if indeed the Senate Leader said so, yes, it should be taken seriously, because he is not given to frivolities.

“Once again, I emphasise that no Senator told me that their signature was forged. Finally, I regret if my comments may have caused embarrassment to any Senator or the 10th Senate as an institution,” he said.

I'm not partisan nor am I a die-hard or fervent Tinubu fan, but I'll like to believe I'm discerning and objective to an extent.

No president or leader in the history of that country, Nigeria, has done as much as Tinubu to re-jig and shore up the wobbly economic foundation of that country to date.

Tinubu antecedents show he has the ability to deliver what he's been delivering up to now. None of the other contestants has a quarter of it neither does their antecedents point to their ability to do so.
So, I often wonder when supposedly informed individuals throw common sense to the wind and want to pitch their tent with a candidate out of sentiments or emotional attachment. It can only be out of hatred for that country!

I hear you, but I disagree with your analogy with the Lion king, tiger and the donkey story.

The danger with allowing those who are wrong and happen to shout the loudest in a society like Nigeria, where most people are illiterate and struggling to fill their stomachs, is that the loudness may be misconstrued as being factual.

From time to time, the serious and discerning minds must, from time to time, correct the lies and conjectures of the ill-opinionated loud ones who would like to drown the voice of the wise.

You can draw very easy example from the reasonable Igbos that sat silent during the inevitable failure of the ascendancy of Nnamdi Kanu. See the number of street urchins and malleable minded people that Nnamdi Kanu was able to muster at his peak, see the number of reasonable Igbos that suffered or paid the ultimate price from his policies from sit-at-home enforcement to other criminality that ensued.

I hope the reasonable and the discerning in Nigeria never cease to say the facts and refuting the lies and innuendos being pushed into the public space by those who are educated but driven by incomprehensible allegiance to mediocrity. Many malleable-minded Nigerians look up to them, especially in their places of worship and other public spaces.

I totally agree with you that Peter Obi has as much chance as a snowball has in hell!

Any governor whose performeance is up to 50% of what the incumbent governor of Ekiti was allegedly had achieved in his state, will achieve the same result in his state.

And admittedly, Tinubu has minimum of 31 governors working for him. Peter Obi..zilch, nada, none, zero ....I can go on and on....
