Groundbreaking Move: Brazil’s São Paulo Assembly Recognises Biafran Self-Determination https://youtu.be/gL-OHCohEgQ

In a landmark decision, the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, Brazil has officially recognised May 30 as Biafra Heroes and Heroines Day and passed Motion No. 186 of 2026 applauding the Biafran struggle for self-determination.

This powerful resolution describes the Nigeria-Biafra W"r (1967–1970) as “one of the greatest humanitarian tragedies on the African continent in the 20th century” and acknowledges the genocide of over three million Biafrans.

Key highlights in the motion:

• Tribute to Biafran Heroes and Heroines who fought for freedom

• Recognition of Biafra’s forced annexation under British colonialism

• The legendary story of how "King Pelé stopped a war" during Santos FC’s tour of Africa in 1969

• Praise for the Brazilian people who welcomed and integrated Biafran refugees

• Strong affirmation of the Biafran people’s right to self-determination as enshrined by the United Nations

This is one of the strongest official recognitions of the Biafran cause by any legislative body outside Africa. A major win for historical memory and justice.

Good for you. Go and bank it.

Stop feeding what is feeding on you says Abraham 'Mad' Madu in his double speak.

Yet the idiot and his fellow foolish Biafran buffoons expected Nigeria to have kept feeding the incompetent Biafran state that was threatening to ravage and feed on it.

What a people!

Regards,

Femi Olajide
