On This Day: January 29, 1968

The Biafran Pound (£B) was officially introduced as the currency of the Republic of Biafra by Lt. Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

Issued and managed by the Bank of Biafra, the new currency was a bold assertion of economic sovereignty during the Nigerian Civil War. The first banknotes released were 5 shillings and £1.

For the duration of the war, the Biafran Pound served as legal tender. Symbolizing more than trade, it represented identity, resistance, and self-determination under siege.

Though its circulation ended with the war, the Biafran Pound remains a powerful reminder of a people’s resolve to govern themselves, even in the harshest conditions.

I have never seen a people so despondent and instead of using positive thoughts and hard work to lift their spirit, uses lies and negativities to prop up and fool themselves.

Whoever in his right mind celebrates failure and makes it the cornerstone of further development?
All reasonable people around the world learn from their mistakes, restrategize and always ever vow not to repeat the same mistake. Not IPOB and their moronic followers.

IPOB and its foolish followers keep fooling themselves by re-defining failure as success, and celebrating it as such. It won't get you guys anywhere but you'll forever keep on repeating the vicious cycle.
Listen that brainy and intelligent one, the lady called Cynthia Ahagutu (I hope I got her name right). She's definitely got the spunk you guys lack!

Comment:
What you have shown above was the product of the historical Biafra, led by Ojukwu - the Biafra that encompassed the entire landmass of the present day SE+SS-Edo State. That Biafra lived for circa 3 years before it was killed and officially buried at the then Dodan Barracks, Lagos on the 15th day of January, in the year of our Lord  1970.

The so-called Biafra struggle that you are wasting your precious time, lives and wherewithal  fighting in vain to realise is the Biafra of the Ndigbo and it clearly shows!

Perhaps you may want to show us the paraphernalia - including the paper money and coins of the Ndigbo Biafra. Meka
