Europe was a manufacturing powerhouse. Not anymore!!
The glory of industrial revolution has irreversibly departed Europe and currently resides in China and Asia.

The alliance of Asia, Africa, and South America termed BRICS is the final nail in the emerging coffin of Europe.  That is why Trump is currently fighting India, Brazil, South Africa, and China.

Any African leader currently hobnobbing with Europe lacks vision, hence living in the past and in denial.

The biggest obstacle to Africa's development is corruption. For any African nation to be taken seriously, it must not only fight corruption,  but it must also be seen to be so doing.

Pay cash on what, on things manufactured in Europe, including clothing, toothbrush, pins, toothpicks, orange juice, even though oranges are falling off trees in abundance and rotting away in Africa, etc.? Nigeria does not manufacture bicycle spokes, yet the president of Nigeria purchased a multi-million dollar aircraft and yacht from money it borrowed mostly from Europe, yet you deny that Africans are poor?

Nwanna, the type of language you uttered below excuses willful ignorance, degradation, and mediocrity. You know that anyone who borrows in the West is eligible to borrow and does eventually pay back the borrowed money or face financial death, so you shouldn't dignify this street corner pontificating of Africans' who excuse the raping of the continent by the incompetence and kleptocracy of their leaders.

Nebu,

There you go again with your innuendos derived from no other place than bars and beer parlour gists.

I challenged PCO to show proof of that expenditure on new aircraft and yatch but he welched. You guys just keep lying and you believe any Nigerian will believe your lies.

Publish the budget and performance at the end of the year 2024 the budget line item where expenditure went on a new yatch and a new aircraft for the presidency.

And don't ask me to go and verify, you're the one selling the lie and although I ain't buying, the onus remains on you to substantiate your lie.

Nebu, stop all these nonsense and start discussing like a grown up with believable and verifiable facts/evidences.

Regards,

Nebu,

You always make it out that something is common knowledge, yet you had to refer to Copilot to prove your assertion.

The assertions were neither here or their, Copilot as AI tool depends and it's trained on the same fake news that you depend and consume.

An intelligent man does not depend on Copilot. You're just being intellectually lazy and incompetent.
Even Copilot will warn that it is wrong an astonishing 40% of the time and it advises that it is just a drafting partner and not sentinel enough to decipher fake and real news. 'Gabbage I'm gabbage out' is the term associated with the output that comes out of a computing system that is fed a corrupted input.

And our 'so-called' intelligent Nebu is pinning his entire fate on Copilot. Shame shame shame!

If you read between the lines, Copilot always clarified its output by things like 'recent reports indicates'or 'multiple sources claim' etc etc etc.....Now with the number of Nebus and PCOs in this world, I can see why multiple sources can make false claims and be seen as output-worthy by Copilot.

In all fairness, I did hear of the yatch and the Airbus at the time. I'm not so bothered about them so, I didn't follow the news. Fake news abound.

What would have been definitive and more intellectually savvy for you as a current purveyor of unconfirmed news is to check the published budget office expenditure performance of relevant year and show that the payment for those two line items were paid for(i.e. 100% performance). Your reference to Copilot enquiry is neither inventive or soundly and unimpeachable.

Nebu, stop obfuscating your lack of intelligence to present a credible argument and back it up with ironclad evidential proof that is irrefutable under any circumstances. Copilot ain't it!

I said you should grow up and start making argument on the basis of unimpeachable and irrefutable facts. Copilot is a generative AI, a reactive AI that is limited to the information that it has be trained on. Those information are not necessary tested and always factually true.

I bet you use copilot enquiries to make argument in NYC courts in front of experienced judges.

" My Lord, you're very wrong your highness. My AI, Copilot to be precise says........"

Nebu you're simply done for.

Femi Olajide

Femi Olajide,
It is doubtless that you are new to polemics, and are amateurish at it because of immaturity, ill-education, or sheer idiocy. Like an amateur carpenter who hits the knell indiscriminately, simply because he possesses a harmer without knowing where and how to use the harmer, all you do here, and through which you expose your polemical pretentions, is ask for evidence recklessly and needlessly. Were you not amateurish, you would know that if you are at least 15 years old and with at least a grade school education, you don't ask for proof or evidence on matters of common knowledge -- this is another evidence that you have never written a thesis.

For example, if I asserted that the Ooni of Ife is a traditional ruler as well a spiritual one, no educated person would ask me to prove it, since it is a settled matter that resides at the common knowledge level. If, on the other hand, I had said that the Ooni of Ife has a spiritual power with which he raises the dead, I would be required and be obligated to substantiate it with evidence, because it is something not known by anyone, as well as something not within human capability. When you ask for proof or evidence on common knowledge or when you ask Peter Obi to prove the idiotic and lunatic claims of those traducing him, you give yourself off as ill-educated, childish, and a pretentious polemicists.

You are probably the only adult Nigerian who require evidence to the claim that the Tinubu presidency acquired a new aircraft and a yacht. If you didn't know, you didn't have to embarrass yourself by asking for evidence, you should simply ask to be educated on it, after all no one knows everything, instead of posing your ignorance as a challenge. Alternatively, you can google it or pay the Deranged Ape to google it for you. I was so shocked by your comment over this yacht and new aircraft that I almost doubted myself, even though I remember when this made news and attracted criticism for the administration in Nigeria. For that, I typed this on Microsoft Copilot:
"Did the Nigerian government purchase a new aircraft and a yacht recently?" Within seconds, it returned the following:

>>Yes — recent reports indicate that the Nigerian government under President Bola Tinubu has been linked to both a new presidential aircraft purchase and a controversial yacht acquisition.

✈ Presidential Aircraft

In August 2024, the government took delivery of an Airbus A330 to replace the 19‑year‑old Boeing B737‑700 previously in use2.

The jet reportedly cost over $100 million (about ₦150 billion).

It was not brand new — the 15‑year‑old aircraft was previously owned by a Saudi prince before being bought by Nigeria.

The purchase sparked public outrage due to the country’s economic hardship, and questions were raised about whether proper legislative approval was obtained.

🛥 Presidential Yacht

In the 2023 supplementary budget, ₦5 billion was proposed for a presidential yacht.

Public backlash led the National Assembly to officially decline the request and reallocate the funds.

However, multiple sources claim the yacht had already arrived in Nigeria before the proposal was rejected, and there have been calls for the Navy to return it to the vendor.

If you’d like, I can break down why these purchases became such a political flashpoint and how they fit into Nigeria’s current economic and political climate. Would you like me to go deeper into that?<<

Femi Olajide, I keep responding to you because I really mean well, I want you to channel your mind away from the pettiness, tribalistic, and cynical ways into which you operate it now. I will soon confine you to the same ignominious pit wherein I have confined certified idiots of these forums if you remain incorrigible; you are sounding stupid enough to be ignored permanently.

Nebu,

I'm on your case this weekend. You have to be called out for the intellectual fraud you are.

There is no way, the US or Europe will ever become the hub of manufacturing for day to day goods anymore. No tarrifs nor duties will make it happen.
And neither will BRICs countries regress back to thirld world countries.

As long as India raises the living standard of it's people to become ardent consumers, the consumption of the population of those BRICS countries can sustain their preconomy for a long time without the US or European markets. Between them they have about half of the world population and are still growing compared to the west where population is declining.

Empires come empire goes, that's the nature of the world. A good and intelligent dying empire must find a niche for itself. Europe and the US still have the cutting edge technology that are still elusive to the BRICS. That is where the US and Europe must concentrate. Pushing the envelope of technology and ensuring that they remain at that cutting edge.
Trump is not helping with his ill-advised tarrif and duties. At challenging times, wise men build bridges while the foolish ones build walls. Trump is building walls rendering US creative people to effectively unable to collaborate and compete with other creative minds across botdersvand around the world.

My tuppence, always better than Nebu's 50cent!

You are partly correct, CY. I wrote "manufactured in Europe" to rhetorically emphasize Europe's industrialized stage. Europe's making purchase from Asia is not because it is incapable of producing things if it wishes to produce things, unlike Africans. China and Asia are manufacturing hobs because investors in Europe and US devised another means of getting super rich by phasing out manufacturing in their countries where survival wages are mandatory. It pays investors better to pay workers 50 cents an hour in India or China instead of $15.00 an hour doing the same job in Europe or the US -- from the $14.50 savings, investors get about $10.00, which translates into millions of dollars in yearly returns.

POTUS Trump campaigned on bringing back manufacturing of most things that used to be manufactured in America, which would be a countering of BRICKS, should he succeed in doing it. Similarly, if Europe wakes up tomorrow and resolves to bringing back manufacturing to Europe, it would do so easily, and together with the US, they will neutralize BRICKS -- China, India, Brazil, et al will lose 80% of markets for their goods, which could likely force them back into Third World economy. As much as I don't support him, I do not ignore that there is a plot in Trump's madness -- there is a reason that he is dolling out tariffs here and there; he is sending messages to BRICKS. So far, Trump has an understanding/agreement with Europe on tariffs...the US is so extremely an economic power that can it send China and India back to whence they economically crawled out of as from the late 1980s.

Nebu,

It's always a baseless threat of blocking one's email or going on cyber sabbatical when you're caught out in your inept attempt to sound intelligent.

For the umpteenth time, no one(in the least me) gives a toss of you read or respond to my post.

Ask anyone, and they'll tell you're a super fraud. A fraudster that allegedly Google and use copilot to make arguments in front of a judge.

I beg, go sit down Jo, 'Copilot Nebu's.

Whenever you come on here to spew your half-baked unintelligent nonsense, I'll be there if I'm chanced to whoop your ass and put you back on the straight and narrow. Not that your case is redeemable, yours is a lost cause. A pathological fool that tries to be intelligent by asking Copilot to find his nose for him when it itches.

Capital idiot!

Co-Pilot and Googler called Nebukadimonkey Adiele, for your ignorance, Tinubu never purchased any "Yatch" since the day he assumed office as President. Buhari government procured a naval security boat for President during Buhari Administration, which was delivered by the contractor during Tinubu's presidency and its not a "Yatch" you ignoramus. It's a naval boat acquired for president to be able to visit reverine areas of Nigeria. It's not for pleasure and it's a security boat that cannot be attacked or damaged by terrorists in Delta Region of Nigeria when a Nigerian President visits the region.

Secondly, Tinubu did not acquire a new plane. His government acquired a used plane from a Saudi man at a discount that cost less than half of what the original owner paid for it, which is good for Nigeria, because Nigeria saved a lot of money by acquiring used plane at a discount, instead of buying a new plane which is very expensive and his government did that after the President’s old plane was faulty abroad and Tinubu was stranded during a trip to France.

The ealier you stop Copiloting and Googling like your Co-Googler and Copilot called Femi Thief Olajide of Docklands London who specializes in stealing and hijacking goods on high sea of London for sale in black markets, the better for you.
