Friends,
We started this discussion forum a while ago called 'FAMILY AND SOCIAL LIFE… IN A NUTSHELL...' the purpose of this program is to fulfill our obligation to the world public in bringing African contribution to the global Eco-system, development in social sciences, and humanities. Some of you who are aware of our programs at African Views can attest to our efforts. This coming week, we will be conducting an annual African Cultural Exchange program for children at PS 107 in Brooklyn, NY. 3rd graders in the school will be meeting in realtime with 3rd graders at Brookhills Montessori School in Gabarone, Bostwana. This program is designed to lay a foundation for preparing our children at home and in Diaspora for future social and diversity challenges. Perhaps even breed them as champions to eradicate poverty in our worlds. This too is part of our various social development programs at African Views.
As you may know, the health of our communities is highly important to the sustainability of our society at home and abroad. What we need more than ever is your support as encouragement to the various program we design. This week, Saturday November 30th, we will be discussing a very poignant subject which certainly concerns you regardless of your culture, ethnicity, tradition, nationality, race, educational background or sexual inclinations. CHOOSING SPOUSE is one of the biggest challenges you will face and we have learned is one of the major determinant of developing a healthy set of family values. Ultimately, the family is the soul of the community and it all comes down to how you choose. Halle Berry says “I don't think I'm unlike a lot of people. I am just someone who is trying to find that mate, and I think it's a really hard thing to do.” Please join the discussion on how you can we begin to improve our abilities to choose the right bride.
It is a open discussion and everyone is welcome to contribute. If you have something to say on this issue, here is the power to say it to on the record. The world is listening.
