Generally speaking, defamation is the issuance of a false statement about another person, which causes that person to suffer harm. Slander involves the making of defamatory statements by a transitory (non-fixed) representation, usually an oral (spoken) representation. Libel involves the making of defamatory statements in a printed or fixed medium, such as a magazine or newspaper. All of which Ted seems to have violated with his public statement.
Why not look into it or make a public statement about it. You will get support from Washington and perhaps others around the world. It will certainly provide a distraction to the Tea Party's momentum and provide Nigeria an opportunity to re-brand itself. Note that the true definition of slave refer to those who can not govern and defend themselves. I really hope that Nigeria is not a lame duck or some kind of nominal nation.
When people speak about America as the land of opportunity, this is exactly what they are talking about. I hope our people are prepared to respond fast enough for goodluck!
Best wishes,
