Greetings Great Africans,
The Do More Talk Less Project was initiated by the 42nd Generation in November 2008, to get the Africans to apply themselves practically to African issues, and to recognise and honour DMTL ambassadors – Africans who have already distinguished themselves in working (not only talking) towards making the new Africa possible in their small way.
This month, we shall be kicking off with this project and the details are as follows:
Date: Saturday, January 31, 2009
Venue: Conference Hall, Busyinternet, Circle
Time: 9am prompt
Theme: In The Interest Of Africa.
Entry: FREE!!!
Reason for the theme:
A very simple look at the Ghanaian situation between the 7th and 28th of December 2008 and other events that followed the elections up to the point where the NPP presidential candidate for the elections (Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo) conceded to the now President-elect, Prof John Evans Atta Mills, will show among other things, the fact that had it not been for actions such as the one taken by Akufo-Addo (which clearly many other African politicians in other countries were unwilling to take) in accepting defeat, Ghana would perhaps, have been preparing for a most threatening crisis today.
This shows on the face of it that so many people speak of things they are not so willing to act upon, and this has been an issue on the African continent.
"In The Interest of Africa" thus seeks to discuss issues connecting to what the African youth must do or prepare to do in the interest of peace, stability, and economic progress. We trust that the outcome of this meeting will among other things, be that the African youth will see Africa as first before individual interest, so that in the face of confrontations; when positions are so consolidated that violence and destruction are imminent, we will still have men that are bold enough to practice the peace, contentment, accountability and national interest that we so passionately preach about even against their own interests.
We must talk less and do more.
Speaker:
- Dr. Absalom Mutere (From Kenya) and currently the Acting Dean, Journalism and Communication, African University College of of Communication
We look forward to seeing you at this meeting. There is so much to know, and so much to do. Do not come alone- Do all you can to bring your brother/sister,your friend, and your neighbour
We will also have our Seminar Within The Seminar, where we always discuss practical steps to Time and Resource Management. A rich, prudent and financially independent Africa is necessary in this journey to the New Africa.
Thank you very much.
