Greetings Great Africans,
It is always an honour to invite you to our conferences in fulfillment of our assignment to Africa in the
"New Africa Project". In this month of October which is Vol. 9 of the project, we have as theme of the conference "The African Economy Before Colonialism" and the details of the conference are as follows:

Date: Saturday, October 25, 2008
Venue: The Conference Hall, Busyinternet
Time: 9am Prompt
Entry: Free!!!

WHY THIS THEME

The economic crisis that hit the world (or parts of the world dependently affiliated to American and the EU economy) a few months ago and is still forcing its claws down the lives of people, is one issue that calls for very serious consideration.
Seeing that there is truly an African perspective to every thing on the face of the earth, we must take a look at Africa and the African economy before the colonial era. China has not only done well during this crisis, but is now even looking to gain more control over the American market; and one of the strongest reason for this, is the fact that the Chinese paid attention to and dedicated their efforts at advancing their country from the perspective of their history; in the process discovering their strengths and their weaknesses. This has helped them focus their energy and resources to the items of economic advancements typical of the Chinese people.

At this conference we want to address issues such as:

  1. What was the nature of the African economy before colonialism?
  2. Is it colonialism or dependency on the West that affected today’s African economy?
  3. What should the new Africa aspire for in order to deliver Africa from dependency on the West?

The afore-mentioned and many others are what we shall be discussing at the conference. We will be most obliged to have your opinion on this theme and the issues set above. Just let us know in time so that we could add you to the programme.

We will also have a short training on “time and resource management – what the African youth must do”

Do tell your friends about this conference, always remembering that Africa's hope is not merely in you, but also that Africa’s hope is you.
