Hi Guys

Following our call today, I am wondering if we should focus the information platform to target PRIVATE EQUITY FUNDS only.

This would bring the platform closer to Michel proposal.

Your thoughts welcomed.

best
Omar

I will agree IF we all believe such approach will be the best business model for Africa4Ward. The key strategic question is: What is the best strategic roadmap to achieve the goal?
I do admire what Michel is doing , what I am still unclear about is if we have done our due diligence enough to know what the investment operation needs for success and what are the regulatory compliance requirements we need to evaluate before we engage in this. I think Michel needs to have thesame concerns unless he already knows this and I just don't know.

Great discussion guys.
I look forward to being in your time zone for a change

Guys,

I like Omar's suggestion because it bridges my appetite for action (putting money where mouth is) and narrowing the focus of the info platform to have an improved chance of differentiation. Certainly assuming PE straddles both traditional PE and VC investing, then this remains a massive gap in Africa.

A focus on PE, Venture Capital and Special Situations (i.e Cocoa in Cote d’Ivoire) would certainly differentiate us. However, building content would take longer and be more difficult to source. These sectors should capture the business model we envisioned at the inception.

Hello
Sounds interesting, I will try to respond to some of the questions raised by Julius in terms of due diligence in the coming days and see if I could suggest something for the strategic roadmap.
Rgds
