| #Action4Peace Forum and Initiative (Africa Peace Week Accra-Ghana 2024) 1-3 December 2024 Delegates Registration Form |
The African Artists Peace Initiative (AAPI) www.aapipeace.org– is a Pan-African Movement of Artists, Activists, Arts-tivists and Peace-tivists (AAAP), using Creative Arts, Creative Communications and Cultural Diplomacy (CCC’s), as a tool to champion the Africa Agenda 2063, Culture of Peace and Social Justice Initiatives across Africa. AAPI was formed in 2014 (Officially Launched in 2015, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the margins of the African Union Heads of State and Government Summit). Today, the movement has grown into (33) African countries; with Country Coordinators and Action for Peace Teams. AAPI has over (16,000) members in Africa and Diaspora; and 99 celebrated artists and personalities as ‘’Peace Ambassadors’’ across the continent and Diaspora. AAPI intends to make an innovative contribution to Peace- building and Advocacy in Africa, through ‘’Creative Thinking’’ and the ‘’Creative Arts’’. AAPI intends to make a unique contribution in addressing the situations and needs of refugees and returnees; by supporting youth and women returnees to create a livelihood through cultural entrepreneurship in the creative economy. Notably, AAPI will demonstrate how arts and cultural diplomacy can be applied to re-think and take urgent actions on the rights, dignity and livelihoods of refugees, returnees an internally displaced persons. The #Arts4PeaceForums and related activities has consciously created a platform in which the creative community, civil society organizations, youth organizations, peace-educators, media, private sector and relevant stakeholders/partners co-created alternatives to humanitarian and development challenges across Africa: and developed models and tools in accelerating progress towards the attainment of the Africa Agenda 2063 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. After five (5) years of mastering the #Arts4Peace Programme; we are safely migrating to the ‘‘Action for Peace Forum and Initiatives 2021-2030 Decade Campaign’’, with the second edition scheduled to hold from the 1 to 3 of December 2024 at the African Union Headquarters in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia, in collaboration with partners. The five days ACTION FOR PEACE FORUM AND INITIATIVES (APFI) - will comprise Co-Creation Workshops (Peace Factories) with Peace-building initiatives on: Culture for Peace; Media for Peace; Sports for Peace; Education for Peace and Interfaith-Harmony for Peace. The forum will tag along the 5th AHPA Ceremony, Cinema4Peace, Fashion4Peace and culminate with the Music4Peace Fundraising Concert. The Bi-Annual Action4Peace Forum will
