Just testing if it's possible to share with the whole group a Google
Spreadsheet version of the Jolly2 spreadsheet I uploaded a while ago.
One of the HLOOKUP formulas gives trouble in this version. A beer for
the first to sort it out.

Tried to have a look at the spreadsheet you posted on Google
Spreadsheets for Jolly2 calcs, but can't access it. Could you give me
access via my usual email address?
Cheers -

I'm getting " We're sorry. It looks like you don't have access to this
spreadsheet." (I am subscribed to the group.)
When I set up a G. s'sheet, I had to invite individual "collaborators"
to have access to it - probably not a bad idea: a rogue subscriber
could wreck a shared s'sheet.
It's a great facility though.
Cheers,
Nick.
Anyway, I'd also uploaded an Excel version to the group - check under
"Files".
Cheers

That's indeed a danger with Google spreadsheets, but not so much with G
Docs: it has a built-in version control system, so you can roll back
changes to any previous version. I hope they add that feature to
GSpreadsheets too.
On the invitation front, I also wish they had a feature whereby
inviting a Google Group to edit a document automatically results in all
its members being given access too.
But we're digressing from wildlife survey stuff!
