Introduction aux technologies émergentes est un cours ouvert. On as trois questions centrales. Nous allons visiter ces questions pour discussion durant les prochaines douze semaines. Tout le monde est invités a joindre les forums et partagés leur pensées.

A chaque semaine nous allons aussi couvrir un sujet et nous allons crées quelques chose avec un outil. Les Étudiants et Étudiantes qui prennent le cours avec l'Université de Manitoba seront responsables de faire l'activité chaque semaine, lire les liens ou articles et écrire des commentaires sur les trois questions centrales. Nous allons aussi avoir un project dans la huitiéme semaine.

Le site du cours sur wikiversity n'est pas fini. Je veux attendre et voir si il vas avoir des problème de connections ou avec d'autres technologies ou si les lectures sont pas bien dirigé. It y a aussi une section “contexte africain” que je veux qu'on écrit ensemble durant le cours. A la fin, nous auront, peut être, créer un cours ensemble que d'autres professionnelle pourront utiliser dans l'avenir.

Hi – Welcome to Emerging Technologies for Learning, Africa!

We’ve planned an exciting twelve weeks with learners from around the world.

Introduction to Emerging Technologies is an open online course delivered in French and English, addressing the concerns and opportunities around the use of technologies for learning in Africa.

In early 2009, the African Association of Universities partnered with University of Manitoba to initiate a project (funded by OSIWA http://www.osiwa.org/spip.php?id_rubrique=10 ): Capacity building on social networking technologies for teaching and learning transformation in West African universities.

The first phase of the project included a multi-day face-to-face workshop in Dakar, Senegal in May (overlapping with Elearning Africa http://www.elearning-africa.com/ ) with educational leaders in West Africa. The second phase of the project is an open online course on Emerging Technologies for Learning.

In order to increase access and impact, learners from around the world are invited to participate in this innovative bi-lingual (English & French) course. Weekly topics will focus on how emerging technologies and open education initiatives can be utilized in the context of Africa. Discussion will centre on the philosophy and ideology of technology, ICT for communication, creation, and content sharing, changing learner/educator roles, and the utilization of learning networks to increase educational opportunities for Africa.
