MLK’s Strategy & Philosophy for Sustaining Social Movements
Occupy Forum continues Monday Dec. 3rd at 1005 Guerrero St., SF. Information, education, discussion & community!
Dr. Bernard Lafayette Jr., who was the director of the Poor People’s
Campaign & friend of the King family, made a promise to Coretta
Scott King: to protect the integrity of her husband’s philosophy. The
Positive Peace Warriors Network (PPWN) was created to continue to work
to fulfill that promise.. PPWN will introduce us to Kingian philosophy
& strategy on movement-building for long-term sustainable change.
Join
Kazu Haga, founding board member of Communities United for Restorative
Youth Justice (CURYJ) for a special condensed intro. to the PPWN
training (part two, but all welcome). The Occupy movement has been the
most important movement towards revolutionary change in a generation.
How can we use Kingian philosophy to sustain our movement in the long-term?
Monday, Dec. 3rd from 6 to 9 at 1005 Guerrero St. near 22nd Street; close to 24th/Mission BART.
Food & drink available for purchase to support the local Café, Café Que Tal. Donations to cover our costs welcome.
