here is what I did to get past this error. After retrying several times, instead of cancelling the transfer, I restarted iPhone using the power and volume buttons. Once the iPhone restarted, I opened WhatsApp again and the import page showed up again. i clicked on Start button to start the import process again. And this time import quickly moved from 0 to 40% and then it started progressing. Attached the screenshot in this response

currently i am facing the same issue.. moving messages stuck at exactly 40%. Anyone got the solution?? I have tried waiting for 2-3 days .. many restarts could not solve this problem. I dont want to loose the whatsapp data

Facing the exact same issue... contacted whatsapp support and they asked me to get in touch with apple support. Its really frustrating as to why everything works well and takes hours together but the last step of moving chat history gets stuck at 40! Kindly provide a solution that works!!!

New iphone user here. Just got a 15 pro max and was consistently getting this error for 2-3 times after factory resetting the phone several times . It was so important to transfer years of my android whatsapp chat history and not being able to do this made me think of returning iphone and continue using android. After I did a restart as mentioned, the issue was fixed and all my chat history was transferred. Thankyou so much for sharing this quick fix.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with overcoming the WhatsApp chat import issue! Your tip about restarting the iPhone turned out to be a lifesaver for me. I was stuck at the 40% mark with the "unknown error" message and couldn't figure out what to do. After reading your message, I decided to give the restart a shot, and it worked like a charm!

I am in progress of resolution but I have found a way round the issue. Background, I was previously iOS a few years ago, I also received the error at 40%. When I cancelled and retried I was being asked to restore from an old icloud WhatsApp backup from 5 years ago.

I too had the same problem, It was struck at 40%. I have updated Iphone 14pro to the latest version i.e. 16.5.1 and reset the iphone. Tried the same process Move to IOS on my Android phone, and this time it worked. Got all WhatsApp data to the iPhone.

Something went wrong while my iphone was moving chat from android after restarting a reset iphone. It happened at 38% importing progress. Is there any solution to this? Plenty of battery on both devices which were on same 5G wifi. I have been trying the migration for the last 2 years. it never works. It is the closest I could get. Before it had no clue to look for the WhatsApp database. This is very frustrating and I have been carrying an Android phone for Whatsapp in addition to the new iphone for 2 years.

Are you talking about the same error that we faced during whatsapp chat imports? How did you workaround with that error? What next steps did you follow to fully transfer your chats? Any help around this issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Looks like you're getting prompted an error message when transferring your WhatsApp data. If so, we'd like to point you in the right direction for help. We recommend that you review and follow some of the suggested steps listed in WhatsApp page here:

The steps listed within the link we shared, might be able to help you. If you require additional help with WhatsApp data, we recommend that you reach out to them for help. You can use the following link to get support from them: WhatsApp - Help Center

Reasons best known to Apple. They probably don't want to admit that they're forcing people to subscribe to iCloud. They could have made the transfers device-to-device directly using WiFi instead of routing it through iCloud (as assumed), but they chose to do their usual thing - Get enough money from their device users.

A 400 hundred error means you are not passing a JSON payload that the WhatsApp API is expecting. I will usually use something like Ngrok to help debug this code. We have a great blog post here that demonstrates how to use NGrok as a debugging tool to inspect what is being passed to an endpoint.

My question here is about the WhatsApp Opt-in Policy, how can we ensure we have opt-ed the number in as in the documentation I believe this should be asked to the customer within the conversation, but this be the first message or the in the template we are trying to push out?

My WhatsApp has been giving me trouble for a long time regarding backups. It started a couple of months ago when I pressed back up now and I received an error message saying "unable to back up". A little while later, my WhatsApp suddenly crashed and when I tried opening it, I received an additional error message saying

I tried looking up different solutions and I did everything including, resetting the cache, disconnecting and reconnecting my Google account, turning off my phone, and playing around with every possible setting. I have plenty of storage on my device and Google Drive account and a great internet connection, so I had no idea where the problem was. The only solution that helped was when I switched my WhatsApp number to a different number. After that, I was able to back up to Google Drive normally as it should be. Unfortunately, I had to reset my WhatsApp from new and start again which was really irritating, on the bright side I was able to do backups moving forward.

My WhatsApp has been working fine ever since yesterday when it gave me the same "unable to back up" error message I'm all too familiar with. Not surprisingly, the next day my WhatsApp crashed and the situation that happened a couple of months ago repeated itself.

Normally when WhatsApp makes a backup, it makes a local backup too. You can find the local backup on your phone's memory or sd card under the WhatsApp folder. You should probably backup the backup so it doesn't get overwritten by a new backup, then you can turn off Google Drive backup and see if you can do "Backup now". It should then only make a local backup.

If that doesn't work you should try putting the local backup back. I am not sure what the cause could be, I would assume either your phone isn't authenticating with Google Drive properly or your Drive is full. Try logging off from Google and logging back in. There may be an issue with the data of WhatsApp itself. Sometimes clearing the cache helps but I can't guarantee what'll work and what not.

It looks like it managed to create a backup 16 days ago, so if nothing works you should still have a proper copy of your messages from everything before that date. Reinstalling WhatsApp should then give you the option to recover from Google Drive, but you will lose 16 days of chat history unless if you use the local backup.

After weeks of having a WhatsApp Cloud API up and running, suddenly all my phone numbers can no longer send messages. Keep getting (#200) You do not have the necessary permissions required to send messages on behalf of this WhatsApp Business Account.

I have already checked the Meta Token Debugger, and my token has all necessary permissions (whatsapp_business_management and whatsapp_business_messaging (and business_management just in case)), and have added (and re-added) (system)users to my WhatsApp accounts w/ new tokens, but no luck.

Over the weekend I had a problem with the link to open a conversation to the whatsapp application from my applications. This link and the applications worked perfectly because I even have it published in the App store and play store.

The error marks that the link is incorrect or invalid and previously worked fine. In the same application I have buttons with the same function with the same link and some will open and others will not. I already verified and it is the same link because everything worked fine before.

The screen shows send--sanitize-- which means the link used is hidden and the error could be due to the link using an invalid invitation to a group instead of a phone number or the phone number or the full URL is not formatted properly.

I am trying to automate the whatsapp node, I got connected successfully by provideing API secret key but when trying to use whatsapp node, its not populating the fields with the value. Its not allowing me to enter value, so I am not able to use this node.

But when a number doesn't exist or is an invalid number my script crashes.I would like some help regarding the use of the try catch block.I will be attaching images of errors that I would like my script to skip ahead and go to the next contact from my CSV using the for each row loop.

Thanks for help me Anil_G!
In the Catches Exception i want use one activitie to click in in a message that appears on my WhatsApp Web screen.
What type of exception should I use to handle an exception in my internet browser?

Like any self-respecting memeista, I often share incredibly stupid profoundly intelligent snippets of Internet wisdom with my (real) friends. These come in the form of images (often GIF) and videos (the memes, not the friends), and we distributethem among ourselves using a variety of digital methods, including WhatsApp. For pretty much ever, I'venever really had any issue delighting my friends. But then.

A few days ago, I tried to send a short video to one of my buddies. WhatsApp protested saying: Can'tsend this video. Choose a different video and try again. Golly. At first, I thought this could be somesort of "AI" nonsense, and it somehow decided my meme was too legit to quit. But then I realized theproblem is much much simpler. Let me illuminate you. After me.
