Dear Jag Aulakh Sir
(I believe you are G batch, I am J)
I have been in India all the while - except a one year hand surgery training in UK & a 2 year Craniofacial training in USA . Served in the Armed forces for 38 years & now in Corporate hospital
You - have been in UK for over 40 years except for short trips to India (5 star hotel stays in Metros I presume)
India is not the same as you left it after college.        The BBC is.
India is becoming more assertive, that does not go well with these "goras".
These documentaries are their methods to implant sub liminal content in our brain.
My issue is that they are selective (read manipulative), if only they were FAIR in criticizing where criticism is due
All I can say is :     They Gotcha, Jag Aulakh,Sir. They Gotcha.
This documentary is based on the content provided by a functionary of the High commission in India who was specifically tasked by Jack Straw the then British foreign secretary + interviews were only with India baiters like Arundhati Roy.
High Commission was subsequently pulled up by the then Foreign secretary of India, Kanwal Sibal, and they apologized.
20 years later the divide and rule is activated again.
Please see the content provided by Kanwal Sibal, and the remarks of British prime minister in UK parliament
Coming out with this 20 years later, claiming  Only BBC knows best 😂
This case has been thoroughly investigated with a fine tooth comb - remember, The Manmohan govt went thru it with all the resources over 10 full years of their rule, Did not get any proof
Finally, the Supreme court also dismissed the case -
BBC believes they are superior to our Supreme court too - would you call it a Colonial Hangover
I am not going to do "Whataboutism" - two wrongs do not make a right
You have an opinion - I am attaching the opinion Mr Tariq Mansoor, Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (the pinnacle of Muslim studies in India)  published in the Indian Express today.
You may like to read it
An intelligent, suave well educated person like you, knows that the world is full of mis information, disinformation, slanted information and manipulation.
You mention about Press info index and India's ranking there. Let me quote to you a few similar "surveys" done 'scientifically' by the "intellectuals" of International Agencies
Pakistan & Sri lanka have no food; BUT, they rank better than India in "Hunger Index"...
UAE has no Private Media; BUT, they rank better than India in "Press Freedom"...
Afghanistan does not allow girls to study; BUT, rank better than India in "Academic & women's Freedom"...
Iraq & Syria have no peace only war but they rank better than India in "Happiness Index"!
I would like to know
1. Who asked these agencies to do the surveys,
2. what is their methodology,
3. What is the interest of these groups,
4. Who funds these and why - after all it will cost money, right
5. Even when they are patently wrong, nothing ever happens to these agencies
India needs its diaspora to stand up for it, some of them act as if they are ashamed of their country of birth.  They feel, superior to their own countrymen, and when they see their countrymen doing well, the crab mentality comes in
Please do introspect - are you being manipulated
You mentioned - the British politics is crap - that which affects you on a daily basis, Do something about it  -
If you have to ask
1. The British, when are they going to apologize for the Jallianwala bagh murders - your PM (David Cameron) came to Amritsar (possibly for votes) and specifically stated that they are not going to do a formal apology.
2. The BBC should make FAIR documentaries without intent to manipulate thought
3. many many other skeletons in their cupboards - Are you aware the Pope had called Benito Mussolini "a man from God" during his hey days
Already too long, but if I have your attention read on
Best comparison of death of PM Modi’s mother and British monarch, by Pakistani born British Khalid Umar;-
*Funeral of a Goddess*
by Khalid Umar
Today died a Goddess who gave birth in India to a child who was destined to be the greatest son of the soil to lead India in its 75 years of history. That man who is the Prime minister of the largest democracy of the world, did not let his “personal loss” to be an official mourning. It was the last rites of a common Indian; A Son giving shoulder to the 'Arthi' of his mother. By the time, the sun rose in the West, a son had placed a century of life in service before Bhagwan’s feet had gone back to work. Funeral was as swift as is giving birth to a child. That is the stuff greatness is made of. That is the ethos of Dharma.
Although it is no comparison, but it reminds me that on 08 September 2022, a geriatric women aged 95 died in one of the oldest ‘parliamentary democracy’, due to ‘old age’. Her funeral took place after 11 days on 19 September. The state funeral cost the national economy over £2.6Billion. The televised funeral was watched by over 4.1 Billion people. That’s how the 70 years reign of the longest serving monarch ended. The country was at standstill for good 2 weeks. That was England and the woman who died herself chose each and every act of this this pomp and show celebrations in the country where 14.5 million people are living in poverty in the UK. That's more than one in every five people. Of these, 8.1 million are working-age adults, 4.3 million are children and 2.1 million are pensioners. What else will be criminal indifference?
These are people who have the audacity of giving ‘bhashan’ to India on democratic values!

Yeh mera India
Our PM, has been in power as a CM or PM for the last 20 years. Yes 20 years. His mother continued to live in a small 2 room flat all thru.
see this attached video about
Indian finance minister meeting her father in his house. Look at the house condition. She came to her father's town for an official work, On the way, she visited her father at the home, she is introducing her team members to him and her father also introducing his son, daughter in law & grand sons to them . See the Simplicity 🪴
Continuing .....
please google Jal Jiwan Mission. till 2019 only 16% of our households had running water in their house. Yes sir - only 1 out of 6. In the last 3 1/2 years this no. has tripled. But BBC will only show "What about the others"

I may have lost your attention by now, so I will stop
Next visit, please visit Bharat (not the 5 star hotel in a Metro) and see your country of birth
