Proposed reunion

Dear All, 

I had a very pleasant chat with Prasad Rao a few days ago when he called. He was talking about a proposed reunion sometime in December this year in Hyderabad. He also mentioned the names of Pappu, Joan and Bhanu without elaborating any role(s). Yes, we have not had our ritual reunion since the Mysusru one, and the next one is due, if not overdue. While I can't speak for others, the US Department of State and CDC have issued a level 4 advisory  for travel to India, which means  we have  to seek approval for travel when we book our tickets. Even without the advisory, I would have been reluctant to travel . given the uncertainty of protection the current vaccine affords against emerging strains. It would be prudent to consider a reunion in 2002 - October onwards. I shall also e mail this since all of  our batch mates are not on WhatsApp.  Vijai

Dear Vijay! Glad you tried one more time to help to get us all together. I was indeed hopeful that we would all meet in wonderful Hyderabad, my second favorite place after Poona. 

But thanks for the caution you have alerted us to. I did think I was the only non-  American who would need a parole, but if it has been extended to all of you, then it is even more serious. So I too think we can be more hopeful for a gathering in 2022 God willing. 🤞Jayashri ( Kiri for those who still remember me)
