Low-dose aspirin should no longer be initially prescribed to try to prevent a first heart attack, stroke or colon cancer, a U.S. panel suggested.

The draft recommendation is based on mounting evidence that the risk of serious side effects far outweighs the benefit of what was once considered a remarkably cheap weapon in the fight against heart disease.

Thanks Ashok. This may be relevant to those fortunate ones who escaped a heart attack and, at least not to me, who have had multiple heart attacks. Stents Zindabad.
