Dear Iyengar and Bhanu!
Thanks for keeping the agenda going, in spite of the glitches for those who could not and those who did not join.
The closing Sunday of this year seems to have opened a few new thoughts for the coming year.
Bhanu is the good spokesperson for all of us especially for Iyengar who was the quietest of us even during college. His having contacted the Souaya of WHO to continue what had been attempted earlier could be followed up with first finding out who all from AFMC has ever worked for WHO . If we have some more people from there then WHO stands a chance with Iyengars idea for the Oration. So can we do that thru Soumaya girself please.
The 'mysterious' donation can surely be traced and the person felicitated for it.
Bikash bringing up the topic of JNU and my pension pending there, needs to be clarified. Not the PM but the President is the Visitor of JNU and so under his purview. Also JNU is the Original National Defence University so that today not a single Serving or retired is not a graduate of JNU if he was a NDA cadet 73 onwards or IMA cadet after 73. I was seconded as Faculty from DIPAS/MOD in 76 and in my naive way asked the VC /Defence Advisor Dr. Nag Choudhary why AFMC also could not be affiliated to JNU then, but I was too junior like the boy who asked about the (Missing) Kings Clothes. It was then the 'Emergency' and too many things were being asked have only been multiplying since then....including my pension. This is for all those who are in Uniform and don't know about JNU being the Original Defence Uni. Especially for the benefit of Bikash who raised it in the Zoom meeting.
About a B Batch Webinar during the 21 Illuminati ...Bhanu could please collate the possibilities and alsoSKs generous idea of the Book.
Even just 1/2 to 1 page of the very best thing that comes to your mind and can cherish, from each of us would be enough to highlight to complement each others lives as having been a AFMC cadet and whatever it led to our pleasantest and proud memory. Everyone who is on email can do so without waiting for a Zoom.
So start the New Year with recalling the best in your experiences and share with us.
Happy New Year to all.
