so here's a thought...

what if some people set up a spot for AFH as a "sketching site".  if we could get a parking space in front of something architecturally signifcant (as they say) we could encourage people to sit in our space and do a quick 10 min sketch.  We could even give the option of leaving the sketch to post on a display board.  It would be great to have someone that is good at sketching provide some technical assistance throughout the day; an art professor would be ideal.

we would really only need:

• a few volunteers (even better if you have a little artistic ability)
• chairs/ benches/ desks to sit & draw on
• perhaps a donation of pencils, pens, sketch pads, etc.

this is just one idea.  it does sound like a good project to get involved in.
anyone interested in helping AFH organize something like this?

I love the sketch space idea. I can get papers, pencils, easels and
markers together for the day.
