The International Journal of Environmental Studies (IJES) will publish
a special issue about Afghanistan. The aim is to cover Afghanistan’s
environmental realities, problems and possible solutions. IJES invites
interested knowledgeable people about Afghanistan’s environmental
issue to contribute to this issue.
The suggested topics are:
Implications of minerals exploitation in the 'new Afghanistan'

International aid management and environmental considerations in post
conflict Afghanistan.
Food security, water scarcity, and environmental considerations
Environment/natural resource and poverty alleviation in post Taliban
period
Finding an alternative to the opium poppy
Conservation of ancient buildings and historic monuments in
Afghanistan
Irrigation, hydro-electricity and the village well: how to bring water
to the masses
Successful lessons of renewal energy in rural Afghanistan
Desertification and combating desertification
Saving threatened species in Afghanistan
Environmental education and women's rights
