Greetings All,

In the past, I've belonged to a few discussion groups such as this
one, and this one is about as dead as they get.

So, the objectives of this message are to see:
> if your email address is still valid (bounced emails will lead to your name being stricken from the membership); and,
> assuming the address is good, if you are still interested in participating, as indicated by a simple "yes" reply to this.

I'll then proceed to invite new members who might be interested in
exchanging ideas on NRM in Afghanistan (what a concept!), inspired in
large part by a recent workshop facilitated by Mr. Paul Smith on
lessons learned from upper catchment development/management projects.
One area that motivates me to write is the inaction on the part of the
GIRoA representatives and their insistance on more training, when in
the end, they don't do anything (constructive). There! I said it.
But rather than setting up a bitch session, as if we need yet another
venue for it, I'd like to toss around ideas on how to identify movers
and shakers who would move improved NRM (ideally, CBNRM) forward.

Hope to hear from you!

Best regards,

Mark
