The biggest problem with robots is that they can be designed to do one task extremely well, but once that task has to be modified, the robot either needs to be retooled or reprogrammed. For example, it's placing chips on a PCB for surface soldering, but a supplier was unable to deliver and the replacement parts are not the same size or thickness. Whereas if it's people doing this work, the adjustment is just familiarizing with the new parts and everything is back up and running.

By the way, I have essentially done this. I made a program that companies can use to do stuff, and I get paid cause that program does stuff on my behalf. In addition, as an investor, I also get paid dividends during my retirement. That too is sort of like having a robot do my work and me getting the robot's salary.

If you can see the amount of stuff AI can do today which would have been deemed impossible a few decades ago, and just add a couple more decades, I don't see why this would be impossible.
