Affixa still won't work properly with Firefox/Gmail

I think I posted this about a year ago but no one knew what to do. I hoped the new Affixa version would help, but it hasn't.
I use the latest version of Firefox, on Windows 7. I also use gmail. Whenever I make Affixa open from ms-word, for example, it puts the draft of a message in my drafts folder--but it also closes the Gmail tab. This is very annoying and I wish some one would do something about it. Thank you.
