Position:          Sr J2EE Developer with Cognos, Informatica

Location:          NYC, NY

Description:

Brief details for both positions are two senior java resources with Cognos, and  Informatica exp.  This is for a banking client in New York.

Here are the full details.  The two positions have the same skill sets.  The difference in the two positions are which skill needs to be the strongest.

 

·         1st of the positions is looking for a more senior java developer with Cognos, Informatica experience

·         2nd position is for a strong Cognos, Informatica developer with experience on Java

Experience Required:

 

Looking for a senior Java, SQL Server, Cognos & Informatica Developer

·        Working experience in Financial Industry
·        Hands on Development experience with technologies like Core Java, AJAX, J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, Apache Axis and Web Services using Websphere App Server
·        Database development using MS SQL Server/Sybase/Oracle. Also fluent with SQL, Stored procedures & DB Design
·        Working experience in Cognos Reporting Platform
·        Working experience with Informatica ETL Transformations
·        Used build tools like ant, maven & cruise control
·        Handled debugging/Troubleshooting & improving performance of large scale multi-tier systems
·        Looking for someone with good interpersonal, Communication & presentation skills as job requires frequent communication with Business users.
·        Hard working, Quick Learner & eager to learn new technologies & understand business
·        Ability to work as part of small team or individually with changing requirements and adapt to changes in business and technology landscape.

Nice to Have (Plus)

·        Experience developing applications for Portfolio Management, Trading or Quantitative Research.
·        Experience with c#.net
·        Understanding of SDLC lifecycle, Agile development methodologies  & Test Driven development
