Dear Affect Working Group (grad students in particular),
Carla and I wanted to let you know that we are going to apply again for IHR Research Cluster status and funds, for the coming year. Does anyone have suggestions for events you'd like the AWG to hold in the coming year? In particular, some of you had told us that you wanted to put on a grad student conference, which seems like a great idea. If you are still interested, can you come up with a description of the conference (we would be able to fund food and publicity and a keynote speaker, most likely)? It would be great to get your ideas over the next week to 10 days so we'll have time to integrate them into our application.
Also, some of you had mentioned doing a grad student workshop this quarter. Are you still interested in doing that? I can check with IHR about money for refreshments, just let me know.
